Hello, in this speech I want to talk about the term "sustainable development" and what it means for me and for the world. For me, sustainable development is a new way for the world to improve its present and have more options for a good future. This method, which most countries have begun to use to fight against the ecological problems on the planet, is of great importance to maintain many things that exist on the planet today, like many animals or plants. In addition, this plan will improve people's living standards, in addition to helping with social problems and the daily lives of many people, such as education and work, also helping poor people with better live conditions. Now I want to explain, from my point of view and based on the information …show more content…
The scientists tried to create methods to fight against these problems and how they affect the world society. For this, we started talking about sustainable development, by Gro Harlem Brundtland, which said that, “Meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” This idea gave rise to the Brundtland Report, which was mainly focused on the economy, ecology and social relations in the world society. The rules of this report contribute to the control of all aspects of modern society and have sustainability as the main idea, with economic and social principles to modernize these ideas. Now, I want to explain these concepts in the economic, ecologic and social point view and give my ideas about how this contributes to the health of the …show more content…
The creation of new jobs for society would help a lot with the growth of the economies of the countries, by the increase of the production of several common products in societies. Like the World Bank think about the topic of the economical sustainable development, who said that, “Cities are embracing low-carbon growth and public transportation. Farmers are picking up the practices of climate-smart agriculture. Countries are recognizing the value of their natural resources, and industries are realizing how much they can save through energy and supply chain efficiency.” In my opinion, governments should use this method to improve their territory in an ecological and social level, but always maintaining their economy well due to the social changes that have taken place and supporting the ecological
This has also helped the economy by producing more jobs for people. As for external change a new law could be imposed
The developmental jobs and task created allowed for income and market economy to expand for china. They went further as to trade on land or sea throughout the eastern hemisphere. To travel they needed a ship or a boat to trade long distantly over sea. The increase production of trade allowed for China to make a social change.
The release of harmful gases into the air from factories pollutes the world 's air, doing harm to the environment, further leading to global warming. Then, though it did boost many job opportunities, the living condition of the workers during the industrialization were poor. Company towns owned by business were rented out to employees. The owners forced them to live in isolated communities near workshops and forced them to buy goods with high interests. The cities were poorly constructed and crowded with people and residents.
The photo explains how people have more efficient ways to support themselves from more opportunities of work. It shows a rapid growth of the cities, and supports the local economy. A boost in a population shift was the cause of prospective workers moving, to find labor in newly developed factories. Socially, industrialization restructured the society and created important news of philosophy, incorporating economically.
Industrialization is important because that is how they provide things such as electricity and more. (Doc D) There are multiple forecasted industries for the year of 2030 and this is to help with cleaner water and to supply more water. (Doc D) If I had to argue i would argue that: If they're going to make this happen by the year of 2030 they would need to make more money and by that like I said for the third time raise the prices of water and another reasons is China has many of people living there, almost too much, so if they need to make more money I personally would sell business or make taxes bigger so they have enough money to still have a strong economy and a healthy environment when I say that I mean more water and more things to rely on if a crisis like this goes on.
How does addressing global poverty improve the economy and create jobs in the United States? When we address global poverty, we acknowledge the role that the United States has in providing the solution to end poverty. Thus, when anti-poverty efforts are executed, it allows for a diverse range of jobs to transpire, such as outreach, communications, organizing, political activists, and an international bureaucracy. 5. How does addressing global poverty improve national security?
Everyday people buy plastic things from the cafeteria, from plastic containers, lids on cups, and things as small as straws, and like 50% of plastic used it will be thrown away after one use. However, do you ever stop and think, what happens to the plastic? If you’re thinking that it just magically goes away you 're wrong. It will most likely end up in a landfill somewhere or in the ocean, and as you may think that your actions do not impact the world, think again. Everyone in the world has at least used one piece of plastic, adding to the problem of plastic pollution and helping certifying the terrifying statisticc that acooording to the 2018 Earth day video, “by 2050 there will more plastic in the ocean than fish”, which almost is impossible to think of.

Do you ever think about the millions of families and kids that suffer from not being able to have food? You should be very grateful if you have a family to provide food for you because not every kid does. Hunger is a term which has three meanings: •The uneasy or painful sensation caused by the want of food; craving appetite. Also, the exhausted condition caused by the want of food.
The conclusion conveyed at the end of this paper, will be that sustainable development is a concept with weaknesses however, the strengths outweigh them. To begin with, the concept of sustainable development famously culminated in 1987 with the United Nations 'Commission on Environment and Development ' also known as the 'Brundtland Report ' (Everard & Longhurt, 2017; pp. 1244). The article introduced, the most widely known definition of Sustainable development as "Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" (World Commission on Environment and Development, 1987).
‘Poverty’- a simple word with unlimited connotations. Poverty is a universal issue that has been plaguing our Earth for centuries; thus it is essential that the immensity of the situation is acknowledged by everyone. If looked up, you’ll find the exact definition of poverty being: ’general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. [1] Poverty is a multifaceted concept, which includes social, economic, and political elements. [2] Poverty may be defined as either absolute or relative.’
Kahn’s (1995) approach to the sustainable development theory is consistent with the modern day development techniques of Europe 2020 priorities; smart growth, sustainable growth and inclusive growth. The adoption of some innovative strategies such as the utilisation of renewable energy as an integral part of the energy mix could result in growth of the economy, which will eventually trickle down to the poor or extend to the rural or disadvantaged areas of the country. The social sustainability generally explains the idea of equity among the people, empowerment, participation, accessibility and institutional stability. It seeks to ensure a good standard of living in the country by alleviating poverty. Environmental sustainability seeks to explain the ways in which exploitation and utilisation of the natural resources will not be made to negatively affect the environment or the health of human beings (Kahn 1995).

Green growth and green economy have been subject to various definitions but those currently being used by international organizations have a lot in common. Greening growth (GG) and moving towards a greener economy (GE) is complex and multidimensional. Green growth is a matter of both economic policy and sustainable development policy. It tackles two key imperatives together: the continued inclusive economic growth needed by developing countries to reduce poverty and improve wellbeing; and improved environmental management needed to tackle resource scarcities and climate change. The concept of green economy rests on the economy, the environment and the social pillars of sustainable development.
