“Cleanliness and Order are not matters of instinct, they are matters of education, and like most great things, you must cultivate a taste for them.” Benjamin Disraeli
The above words said by former British Prime Minister are more relevant in today’s context. The quote rightly explains the importance and inter-linkages of education, cleanliness and proper societal order. If growth and development is the goal the above statement is the path. This path is well understood by our current Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi and he took it as a mission initiated as ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’.
The Swachh Bharat Mission is one of the most promising public health initiatives launched by the Modi Government. The flagship programme

The glitches triggered by solid and liquid wastes can be significantly lessened through eco-friendly technologies that will allow appropriate treatment and dispensation of wastes .The benefits of effective treatment of garbage are enormous. Conversion of waste to energy produces clean, reliable energy, thereby shrinking the usage of scare and fast depleting natural resources such as coal and petrol. These energy resources are not only economically beneficial but also help us in reducing and recycling garbage for daily use. This will also reduce the extent of our dependency on oil producing countries, thereby hugely contributing towards cost reduction. I strongly vouch for the development of precise cost effective green technology to recycle and manage every type of waste and it would lead to profitable and sustainable business in the field of waste …show more content…
If the target of Swachh Bharat can be achieved then the government expenditure on health care can decline sharply which in turn can help government to maintain high G.D.P. Currently as estimated by World Bank illness from lack of hygiene cuts India’s G.D.P. by 6.4 percent (%) and 6.6 percent (%) of G.D.P. contribution is attributed to tourism. Cleanliness causing a hindrance to the tourism industry de facto if a tourist spot is in a filthy condition then the basic hygiene of the place will be affected attracting lesser and lesser tourists day by day. If the defect is removed, it will boost up the G.D.P. rate. Therefore, Swachh Bharat Mission, a vision of Prime Minister Mr. NarendraModi directly targets India’s

Eradication of disease is very costly, not easy to co-ordinate and there are also risk factors that can be encountered in the process. WHO 's eradication of small pox followed by malaria and polio have met with these challenges. Historically it is evident that early intervention and access to treatment globally is essential for the success of any eradication programmes. Timeous responses to needs, flexibility to change planned course of action to meet challenges as highlighted above in India during the small pox eradication campaign are essential.
“To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.” –Theodore Roosevelt. Before his rise to presidency of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt held various leadership positions outside of politics. In 1888 after not being successful in running for mayor of New York City, Roosevelt was appointed to the U.S. Civil Service Commission as a commissioner, where he was reappointed in 1893. He fully backed and enforced civil service laws, even with little to no support from politicians that sought to turn a blind eye to law in favor of patronage.

Health The topic of health and its impacts on poor health have been an issue in many reservations. A key factor in living a happy, stress free life is the state of health that one is experiencing. This was a very interesting program that included programs to benefit children who don’t know how to cook, or don’t know how to grow their own food. There were also programs in place that helped inmates develop skills for when they are released. The inmates were taught basic life skills, financial literacy, personal finance skills, taught how to balance a checkbook, and taught where to look/go for resources within the community upon release. These are programs that relate to social and economic justice. The programs are in place for the community to use freely.
In addition to the services provided, the program offers incentives and supplemental events including laptop incentives for high school (H.S.) graduating seniors, a Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Summit, computer readiness and safety, holiday parties, an alumni foster youth event, and emotional needs support provided by JAIYA John. ILSP workshops are available for all high schoolers; topics such as employment, education, housing, and money management are provided and conducted by Unity Care, a contract provider. Hi Olayinka, I like that you mentioned that “prevention is better than cure”. Recent statistics reveal that too many people in this country do not have access to preventative health care required to remain healthy and avoid or delay the onset of diseases. A healthy life style helps us to leave a healthy life, reduce the cost of health care, as well as helping to prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. The key to success for wellness and prevention programs is to make the resources for achieving a healthy lifestyle affordable and accessible to the general population. (Rose, M. 2014).
Other options for organisations are by reducing waste in the workplace through reuse and recycling efforts that have a positive impact on the environment. Less office waste means less trash in landfills. Recycling paper, aluminium cans, ink cartridges and even office machinery and equipment can help reduce the global environmental impact of consumer consumption. Other options, such as composting, can reduce waste even further. Organisations may be able to generate extra revenue by selling aluminium or machinery as scrap

Introduction People tend to consume a lot, when there is consumption, there is waste – and that waste becomes a big problem that needs taken care of, which costs a lot of time, space and resources. If not managed, in turn, the world that we live in will become a hazardous place for all living things. According to the World Bank, people throughout the world, “spend $2.3 trillion a year on food and beverages alone” (Global Consumption Database, 2018), that is quite a lot. In addition to that, the world count mentions that, “we throw out over 50 tons of household waste every second. A number that will double by 2030”
