Introduction This essay is to investigate an organization by using SWOT analysis. The organization chosen is called Charitable Choice (CC). It is an NGO which provides online gift card donation service. CC sells only one product that is Charitable Choice Gift Card. The process of how it works: 1) Giver purchases Gift Card 2) Gift Card is delivered to recipient 3) Recipient visits CC website 4) Recipient enters the redemption code 5) Recipient chooses a charity. Charity receives Gift Card Value. It is not simply an online donation. The donation is wrapped as a gift that the giver can present to someone he wants. Pacific Coffee is the only retail partner selling Charitable Choice Gift Card. The Gift Cards are only available in a few branches of Pacific Coffee. Customers are hard to get knowledge about the organization or the product. Gift Cards have a few options because it has only $100 and $500 value. It sounds not quite favourable when only two values for individual customers. If it can lower the Gift Card value such as launching $50-valued, it can attract more diversity of customer such as students. Moreover, some people may find it difficult to understand this new way of gift-giving and thus they are not eager to try out the service. More explanation is needed for demonstrating how to use the Gift Card. Besides, CC has very limited capital source and mainly funded by Linklaters, a multinational law firm, and by Sunway Printing, a printing company offering free printing service to CC. CC is a young brand in Hong Kong since it was established in 2010. Although it has limited presence at this moment, it has great room to grow in the future. If someone goes shopping and spends hundreds of dollars on items and don’t donate, that says something about who they are as a person. While shopping a constant reminder is right there. A sad, innocent, starving, child stares up begging for someone to help. While the shopper may be well-off or struggling to put groceries on the table for their family, they then realize that there is someone out there who has it much worse. Shoppers who may not be very eager to donate begin to see how ignoring this world problem makes reflects on them as a person.
