Maggi is an international brand which consists of seasonings, instant soups, and noodles that originated in Switzerland. The Maggi was acquired by nestle in the year 1947.

Basically the company originated in Switzerland in 1885, when Julius Maggi took over his father 's mill. He quickly became a pioneer of industrial food production, with an aim to improve the nutritional intake of worker families. Maggi was the very first company to bring protein oriented meals to the market and later on they invented the instant ready-made soup. In 1897, Julius Maggi founded the company Maggi in Singen, Germany.
