Mondelez International, is an American multinational confectionery, which focus on food, and beverage company based in America with a total global headcounts of 107,000. This includes of a global branding of snack and food of the former Kraft Foods Inc. North America in 2012.
In the same year 2012, The Mondalez has officially crafted its name by Kraft Foods employees which originally from the words of “world and delicious” in Roman language.
The company manufacturing plant is located in Deerfield Illinois, Chicago which produces a wide range of chocolate, biscuits, gums, confectionery, coffee and powdered beverages.

To produce tiger biscuits,it is necessary to add some butter or oil. Butter and oil is under categories of fat while oil is in liquid form and butter is in solid form. Butter is a solid daily product and obtained from animal fat. Fat is used to shorten the dough of biscuit. When fat is rubbed into the flour, the molecules of fat will surround the flour particle and exclude water. Flour used is to avoid the development of gluten in the dough. Fat can exclude the water as any increasing water will tend to encourage the development of gluten.This is because gluten will make biscuit become hard. Manufacturers is the first process of food distribution. Manufacturer is a process of the food products that including changing raw ingredients into edible products. It also has able to extend the shelf life of the food products. According to the newsroom of Mondelez International Company, there are three manufacturers of Tiger Biskuat in Malaysia such as Shah Alam, Johor Bahru and Prai. Besides, after the food products had been manufactured, the next process of food distribution is distributed the food products to the wholesale food distributors (wholesalers), who also known as the middle people. The role of wholesale food distribution Is to purchase the food products from the manufacturers and get the permissions from the company to let them to sell the food products or using the products for business. What he did was to offer products targeting sophisticated costumers who were searching for good bargains. The offerings of Trader Joe’s were so unique which are not found at rival shelfs. Another crucial decision he made was to take advantage of recent environmental movements such as the rising trend of costumers searching organic foods. The company also decided on selling private labelled products with lower prices than other brands of the same product.
Another company is Sysco, a food-service distributor in the U.S. Porter demonstrates that “It led the move to introduce private-label distributor brands with specifications tailored to the food-service market, moderating supplier power. Sysco emphasized value-added services to buyers such as credit, menu planting, and inventory management to shift” (Porter, 2008, p. 90). Like Paccar, Sysco knows how to make them different from their competitors in the high competitive industry. In food industry, customers is very sensitive with price because they have many options for substitute, so companies must have a competitive prices. However, Sysco decides that they should add values to their products and improve connection with their suppliers.
Cadbury was originally founded by John Cadbury where he started a stall at Birmingham in 1824. John Cadbury retailed handmade cocoa and drinking chocolate which were produced by using a pestle and a mortar. As tea, caffeine, cocoa and drinking chocolate were deemed beneficial when compared to alcohol, John Cadbury was certain on establishing the production of his company on a viable scale and John Cadbury purchased a four-story warehouse for his production to take place. As a result, John Cadbury has successfully produced more than 10 assortments of drinking chocolate and 11 different cocoas by 1842.
Menu Burger king believed that its strength was in its menu which targeted only a certain section of consumers and realised that it had to make changes to be able to compete with its close competitors. Today, nestle own branches almost in every country in Europe, South America, Asia and other continents. The products that they produce are coffee, bottled water, milk products, tea, breakfast cereals, biscuits, baby food and many more. Looking at their annual report, their revenues clearly state that they are the most preferred food and beverage.
