1.0 Introduction PENSONIC is now a success and famous company after development and improvement for so many years since it established. Back in 1965, PENSONIC just a small local business enterprise in Penang selling electrical appliances trading under name of Keat Radio Co and founded by Dato’ Seri Chew Weng Khak. In 1982, Dato’ Seri Chew Weng Khak started the PENSONIC brand name to produce locally manufactured electrical appliances and ensure long term growth of his company. ‘PENSONIC’ coined the word based on personal meaning and special sentiment. ‘PENSONIC’ was invented by combining ‘Penang’ and ‘Sonic’, hence resulting in ‘PENSONIC’. Strengths The strength of the Pensonic Holdings Berhad is provided affordable price for locals which are Malaysian. In Malaysia, there are several numbers of firms producing electrical appliances. For example, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharpe, LG of firms are available in Malaysia. The price of Pensonic products are affordable compare with other brand (Paul, n.d.). Furthermore, Pensonic Holdings Berhad has local celebrities as their brand ambassadors. Such as, the Malaysia supermodel Amber Chia, Dato Chef Ismail, Alan Yun, Steve Yap and etc. These celebrities are representing the Pensonic brand. They endorse the products and services of Pensonic Holdings Berhad as well as embody your corporate identity in appearance, demeanor, values, and voice (Carla, n.d.).
