In fact , the name of Virgin America has been changed from Virgin USA to Virgin America because this company faced many issues, and the main issue was from a national aviation labor union because they thought that this company would not be under U.S. control. In order to achieve the three IMC objective, we are using Advertising, Public Relations, and Sales Promotion.
The first IMC objective is to increase consumers’ awareness of the services and features which Virgin America offers on board. To achieve this objective, we are using advertising including commercial, online advertisements, as well as outdoor advertisements to reach out to Virgin America’s target audience.
The second IMC objective is to build image of Virgin America around its target audience. To achieve this objective, we are using Public Relations, including using news release and media kit to raise publicity of Virgin America, participating in corporate advertising, as well as content marketing.
The third IMC objective is to motivate its target audience to choose to fly with Virgin America. To achieve this objective, we are using customer oriented sales promotion, including contests, coupons, as well as loyalty program.

In order to inform Virgin America’s target audience about its unique services and features and to raise awareness of the brand, we are using Advertising as the primary IMC tool while using Sales Promotion and Public Relations to support it. After target audience is informed about what Virgin America can offer to them and having the desire to fly with Virgin America, Sales promotion is used to offer coupons and even chances to win free flights in order to give them more reasons to make a purchase with Virgin America.
