Education and application of that knowledge is crucial to building a successful business. To achieve the goals or dreams one must weigh the benefits of studying and preparing to become an entrepreneur. The objective at hand is to educate, observe, and analyze all aspects of business. One must become informed to improve the chances of having wealth and happiness in the pursuit of owning or managing a business or corporation. Studying a business’s many types and functions offer career goals and typically provide professional development and skills to succeed in any profession (Bethel University, 2011).
In other words, career fairs are essential to everyone. As a result, preparation is key to ensure you are making a positive impression and leaving the recruiters remembering your resume. To prepare, I looked over the list of companies that were expected to participate in the career fair. After taking a brief look, I identified a couple businesses that caught my eye. In addition, I identified a couple business that I know were reaches at the time, and safe ones to be used as practice for the companies I truly wanted to pursue internships and job shadows for.

I hope to help both individuals and small businesses in my community grow and be financially successful. Hudson Cases Hiring a Team of Seven for Johnson & Johnson 's New HR Model The client for this case is Johnson & Johnson and they were working on a new human resource model. The main focus for the new human resource model is to improve interactions in the way the company attracts new talent and try to increase the experience for the hiring manager as well as the candidate while building on the employer brand. One of the main challenges for this case was hiring a team of seven in a three month timespan. The other challenges were finding qualified individuals who would mesh well with the company as a whole. Hudson listened to the company and worked with the hiring manager to form better insight on what was being asked of them.
Learning from the extensive interaction in the CP course and my professional experiences as HR Professional, I know that a leader should understand her team members’ characteristics, particularly their strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and build a same perspective/vision to facilitate team effectiveness. My responsibilities as a DECA officer are to lead and plan events for our DECA Chapter. Being a DECA Officer gave me the chance to give back to my community. DECA has helped me obtain the knowledge and skills that will greatly help me throughout my life in the business world as well as the personal world. As a DECA Officer, I had the role of the human resource manager and my responsibility was to schedule, and train everyone who would be working at the bazaar. I had to interact with the intro to Marketing students and create a schedule that would work for them.
Throughout this year in VEI I have grow in my abilities to understand the ins and outs of business, as well as working alongside others. One of my strengths in VEI would be my ability to understand a task and follow through making it a finished product. A prime example of this would be our designing of the company handbook. When we first started the project I took charge researching and creating a template for what our hand book would look like. After I understood what had to be done I was able to inform the rest of my table and further delegate the work amongst them.
