The world is changing more and more every day due to technological advances, and it is important for schools to change also. In the beginning of the 2000’s era, technology has improved in a way that no one thought was possible. Information about everything is at the tips of our fingertips; whether it be from an iPhone, MacBook, or any other tablet device. Many adults at the board of education are hesitant to changing the learning process by switching from textbooks to tablets because they are so new and they are not sure how it will affect learning. It is important for schools to switch from textbooks to tablets while providing every student with a tablet (the 1:1 idea), for multiple reasons, especially because the world is changing when it comes to technology, and it is important to change with it to improved learning for students. The idea of the 1:1 has been a debate since I have been in K-12 schools. Slowly, technology is being incorporated into learning and students are very open to the idea of it. My generation, called the plurals or generation Z, is like no other generation before as we’ve grown up on the verge of technology and know-how to work it better than older generations. Students would even be very interested in the data that proves that online technology is beneficial for the learning environment to try to convenience parents to buy them the latest laptops, iPads, tablets, etc. Government officials and the board of schools would be interested because they are in charge of providing funding for schools. Overall, most people interested in the development of technology for learning purposes would be interested in learning more about the possibilities of a learning
