Ta Ann Holding Berhad is a company that generated activity based on forest resources. Ta Ann was incorporated as public limited company on 3 February 1997. Ta Ann was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia on 23 November 1999. The business operation is located in Sarawak, Malaysia. Ta Ann is founded by Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Bin Haji Sepawi, DatukWahab Bin Haji Dolah, Dato Sri Ding Jack Sung and Dato Wong KuoHea. They were start do activity such as logging operations in the mid-1980s since they have forest concession licensee. After that, the business was growing from strength to strength. Ta An company not only destroyed the forest in Borneo but make a serious damage to the river at Borneo. The water level of the river become increase and if there is sustain for a long time, flood probably will happen. The river needs to accept the water come from the rain in a big quantity rather than just accept in small quantity if there is a tree in the forest. The tree has leave and its leave need water. When the rain come, some of the water land on the leave and some of the water land on the soil and some of the water land on the river. Much of this intercepted of water to the leave never reaches the soil reservoir, but is evaporated. For the water that has land on soil, forest soil serve as a reservoir for water. The soil moisture reservoir is the source of water that trees utilize for their life process. Eventually, much water store in the soil returns directly to the atmosphere as the trees transpire.
