Ratan Tata had a dream of producing affordable car for middle class family. He quotes, “ I observed families riding on two-wheeler the father driving the scooter, his young kid standing in front of him, his wife seated behind him holding little baby. It led me to wonder for such a car which is safe and affordable to any middle class family.” This would also have put India on global map of with the cheapest car ever made.

TATA Motors is one of the company from TATA group. This group has formed by Jamshedji TATA. This is one of India’s largest and most respected conglomerate. TATA Motors was established in 1946. It has its manufacturing base in Jamshedpur, Lucknow, Pune, Sanand and Pantanagar. It is in the business of commercial vehicle and passenger cars. It has installed capacity of 350,000 – 400,000 vehicles per year.

They used plastics and adhesives instead of welding. They could produce car with artificially low price through government subsidies and tax break advantage due to car design.
They uses partially inexpensive polymers or biodegradable plastics instead of a full metal body. Basic model of car excludes AC, power steering, power bells and whistles.
Even wiper will be single instead usual double wiper. 3 lug nuts instead of 4 and 1 wing mirror.
