a) I wanted to become a teacher because I strongly believe teaching helps to make a positive difference on the future of children and students. For me, it is a very fulfilling challenge; to help children learn and to grow as people. I have always enjoyed working with children, whether it is for educational purposes or fun recreational activities. I currently volunteer at my local basketball club; I help with the training and coaching of the younger children. It is extremely rewarding is to teach the children new skills in the game of basketball and to watch their faces filled with happiness and joy. I feel like teaching children academically would also be an extremely rewarding experience. I believe that having this experience of coaching behind
A large group of students in the United States makeup a large population of English language learners. Students who are considered English language learners undergo many challenges in their education, and without the necessary support and resources from their educators it can make it hard for them to succeed. A teacher plays a significant role in the success of a child, and it is crucial for them to be able to provide the proper education to students whose first language is not English. It is also very important for teachers to understand the challenges that these students are facing. Having empathy towards the students allows for the teacher to create better connections and relationships to better help them.
Teaching New York magazine says that only 6% of people get the job they wanted as a child. I’ve wanted to be a teacher my whole life. I’ve always wanted to help people grow and develop. My teachers always used to tell me I’d be an amazing teacher. When we would do group projects at school, I loved it because I got to stand up and tell these people something they may or may not already know!
I have taught many students over my career. I have always sought to encourage, support and motivate them so that they could create better lives for themselves. Teaching is an ideal profession to help others determine and reach their potential. And I know that I must continue to develop myself professionally in order to be a better teacher and educator My motivation is to study and research practical consultancy projects with schools and education policy organizations.
Teaching was not something I originally thought of when I started school, but when I got accepted here I realized that I could be the Mrs. DeWeese to another child and be able to influence them the same way that I was. Teaching and helping middle school age children is my dream and I feel that I have the patience and passion to be able to teach them. With all the different types of bullying these days, especially cyber-bullying and peer-pressure I hope that one day I am able to become a school counselor; so that I can help more students who struggle with the pressures of middle
I believe being a teacher is such an important job. The desire to fill young minds with knowledge and excitement about learning! I have always known that I wanted to make a difference in society and I think teaching would be a great way to do that! I thoroughly enjoy helping people and through teacher cadet I could assist the teachers and the students in a positive way.
Teaching can be challenging. Nevertheless, there is great joy and reward to be gained through committing to it and inspiring children to pursue their goals. Teaching will enable me to shape and empower the minds of the next generation by sharing my knowledge and skills. My A level studies are preparing me well for a degree in education.
Staring the beginning of my career as a teacher, I'm moving towards having my own classroom. Being a head teacher you are in charge of what is begin taught in the classroom, and find ways to prepare the children for the next coming years. Working with children ages three too five is the beginning of the child's life, were its important age on who they are as an individual. The school I would like to work with would be public, a spot were all children are welcome, no matter the back ground or were their from. Children at this age are excited to go to school, and meet new friends this age is were their spirits beginning and their enthusiastic.
I believe that every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world we live in. As a future high school teacher, I will make it my goal to help students develop their potentials by believing in them as capable individuals; but more importantly, it will be key in getting the students to believe in themselves, in that they can succeed in any task they come across by working hard and putting effort into those tasks. Some students may not have a strong support system at home and they will probably need more support from the teachers in their classrooms in order for them to see the full potential they are capable of possessing. I will assist my students in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. It will be my job as a teacher to make my students feel empowered, to where they can feel that they have the opportunity to do well in school, and life overall.
When you are younger, as well as when you are growing up, you are constantly being asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Most of us would say cop, firefighter, princess, etc., but not me. My first choice was to become a doctor but that shortly turned into becoming a teacher. Maybe it was that I admired my teachers so much or because even at such a young age I enjoyed being around a school environment. It has always been my passion to become a teacher, no matter the pay, even if I must move far away from home.
I have been working with children for the last 4 years. I ran and operated my own registered in-home daycare and also worked as a paraprofessional in a special needs classroom. My children motivated me to want to be a teacher. Although I previously wanted to work in the medical field I knew that clinicals, my work schedule, and pursuing
Philosophy of Education I believe all students can learn on all extents as long as they are willing or wanting to learn. I believe this because learning is a thing that kind of just happens as long as you want to. The only time you really don’t learn is if you are trying not to learn. If you pay attention you will learn, even if you are struggling you are still learning something and you can still learn if you are struggling you just might need to try harder and seek help. To the point of you learn with just living your life and not trying.
I really enjoyed learning for the sake of learning, I liked school, where my siblings were great in sports, I was great in school. My own education was inspirational and that sparked passion needed an outlet, and teaching is the best fit. The catalyst for my awakening was deciding to get my Masters in Geography. Around that time I went to a conference by Maya Angelou, “When you get, give, when you learn, teach,” she said. I started to think about giving and teaching.
Malala Yousafzai once said, “Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world.” When I had decided I wanted to be a teacher, there was a lot of contemplation on what age level and what subject I wanted to teach. It was not until I found myself in my first placement for Teacher Academy that things began to fit into place, I want to become a secondary English teacher. As time passes, I am finding myself with changing opinions on education. (BRIEF PREVIEW NEEDS TO GO IN HERE)
For me teaching is a family affair. My mother, mother in-law, multiple aunts and uncles, are all teachers. This is the exact reason why I did not originally pursue teaching as my career. I wanted to “break the mold” and do something different than what was expected. After obtaining my degree, working in the business field for nearly 5 years and starting a family , I have changed my tune quite a bit.
Coming out of college, I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do for a job. My father was a teacher at a middle school and recommended that I'd do some substitute teaching to get some income during the time that I would search for a job. Over time, substituting at the school my father worked at, I enjoyed the experience of doing different classrooms and interacting with the kids and other teachers. I came to discover, unlike other jobs, teaching allowed the day to be lively and exciting but at the same time very productive, with a lot of purpose, avoiding the monotonous routine. It was also a pleasure to see students understand new concepts and change over a period of time.
