I believe that to become a successful teacher you must possess a certain skill that allows you to communicate with young children.
To me, it is a crucial profession and ultimatley the upmost greatest and rewarding.
Those within the education system have a great responsibility as educators for the future children of this world. I have wanted to pursue my dream in becoming a primary school teacher for some years now. One of the main reason why I want to pursue a teaching degree has been influenced by a new addition to my family, my nephew. Over the year I have helped develop his skills and aided him in learning new things. I truly value the sense of achievement gained in teaching new skills to children and I wish to continue to do so. I have a love for children and discovering that the positive impact I can have in their education gives me great satisfaction. Teaching will offer me the exciting new challenges and diversity that I seek from my career. Engaging with children and teaching them the fundamental purposes of education in a fun, enjoyable way, ensuring they make the most of their primary school days is a wonderful, exciting opportunity. Knowing that with my knowledge, teacher training

Within the schools, I shadowed various teaching staff, observing their teaching experiences and the ways in which they support the children. I found that each day was different and challenging but ranged in positive production of learning. New faces and new personalities emerged which brought various obstacles in the classroom. It was fantastic to see the teacher perform in ways the method was needed. The most enjoyable aspect of this environment is that no day was ever the same. It was exciting knowing that I was assisting in the children's learning and I gained great satisfaction watching them develop their new skills within various
For children and young people to develop positive relationships it is crucial for adults to model effective communication in the classroom. As a teacher or teaching assistant, you have the platform to facilitate social learning and lead by example. One of the main reasons why effective communication is important, is because it makes children feel happy and comfortable at school, and in your presence. Not only will this help children to thrive in a learning environment, but will also filter through to their lives at home and outside of school.
The decision to enter a profession that has the potential to affect hundreds of lives of children each year should not be taken lightly. One must make sure they are ready for the challenges and responsibilities as well as the joys of humour entering the profession” (Hembree, 2013). Some actions that might ensure that we don’t lose sight of the commitments that we once made as new educators entering the profession would be to maintain an emotional commitment and have a lot of patience. “Great teachers’ emotionally commit to their subject matter and students daily. Teaching can feel incredibly rewarding when things go well
1.1. Why should early childhood development teachers not use food in art activities, such as painting and collage? Because children are still in the process of learning to distinguish between food and other objects that are not to be eaten it can result in causing confusion in the young learner so therefore it best not to use food items for eating as art materials. Also art work such as paintings and collages that makes use of food can most definitely not be displayed and kept for long periods of time as it can attract insects and go off or moldy. This could have a negative effect on the child if his art work no longer looks as beautiful as it did when he created it.
When it comes to managing a classroom, I am sure that as I gain experience my methods and beliefs will change. However, it is still imperative that a beginning teacher has clear strategies for classroom management that are put into place before the first day of class even begins. This paper will discuss some of my current perceptions over how to be an effective classroom manager, detailing and justifying several key ideas and themes that will hopefully enable my classroom to become a well running and effective place of learning. To begin with establishing routines is perhaps the most important aspect of effective classroom management.
This job really taught me about the importance of children having a routine to follow as well as the impact teachers can have on a child’s life. After my first year in college, I realized that I wanted to gain more experience with children of all ages. Shortly after,
Personal Reflection My final semester at South Dakota State University has been a crazy journey and I gained some very valuable tools during my practicum experience at Head Start. While I was at Head Start, I couldn’t help but compare my experiences to those I had at the campus preschool. As the final section of my portfolio and completion of NAEYC standard 7, I have reflected on the differences and similarities between my two major student teaching experiences.
Same as before, it is hard to build young people's knowledge if they have not gotten the chance to develop their language, motor, and social skills. Becoming a teacher would be an amazing choice for me, performing these tasks would be like second nature to me. I am very skilled at teaching basic subjects due to my current job as an after school instructor, and would be able to find the patience within myself to teach basic development
Ashley Albright My Philosophy of Education Throughout my education, I have established three statements that describe my philosophy of education. First, education is about the desire to learn, not the requirement. The development of learning should be pleasurable, stimulating, and helpful. Learning should not only be restricted to schools.
I believe as an Elementary school teacher my job is to motivate, inspire, encourage, and support all students by providing a safe, secure and loving environment. This way each student can be educated socially, emotionally, and cognitively so that they can continue to build a foundation for future learning. I will continuously keep up to date in my practice as an Elementary school teacher so that I will be able to successfully enhance and extend learning in my classroom. I believe that learning should be meaningful and should build connections to prior knowledge and/or experiences. I know that each child learns differently, so I will take note and encourage each child to learn in the ways best suited for their personal development.
What I set out to do as a teacher is to help students see their world in new ways, and think about the world differently. My ultimate goal is to prepare students to live as informed participants in democratic society, conscious citizens of the world, and future leaders and innovators in the field of
One day I hope to become an elementary school teacher for the little 1st graders. I am going to go for my Masters Degree and once I do that I will be able to start my teaching career and reform of the schools. To start off I will stick strictly to teaching, this means giving my students the best education they can get. I will make sure to help each student and make sure they understand what I am trying to teach them, even if that means changing up my teaching style to fit the students needs. After all of that is set in stone I will begin to gradually start the reformation of the school systems.
My experience working with children has given me a clear understanding of how certain connections exist between being a teacher-like figure and how I can apply those acquired skills in a given school or community setting. For starters, my time working with the children was a humble experience in which I was presented opportunities to skillfully cultivate my attributes to mimic those of an educator and make a positive difference in a child’s life. Let it be through teaching them how to read or supervising them when they play, it was evident that I was capable in polishing my set of skills to understand the impact of the learning process and its never ending cycle. Foremost, having spent so much time with kids and understanding certain aspects
I think that overall children are the most wonderful human beings alive. They are caring, unbiased, uncorrupted, and eager to learn what we have to teach if it is presented in the correct way. I want to be a teacher because I love children and will do everything I possibly can to help them succeed. I want to teach my students not only how to calculate addition problems and find the main idea of a paragraph, but also that an education should be sought and cherished.
Education is the first step for the development of societies and it has an important role in humans ' social life. There are a lot of skills, techniques and practices that may help the teacher to be effective. From my point of view, allowing an environment in order to enable the students to learn in the classroom by using their different abilities is the main source of being an effective teacher. Teachers must not stop learning and searching for new methods and ways of teaching, but unfortunately teachers are becoming less qualified and powerless when it comes to giving good and effective education. They are unable to convey the messages they are supposed to give.
2. The strength of these philosophies lies in the fact they are all student centered approaches to teaching and learning. I most appreciate the prescriptive nature of the philosophies meaning that they all are attempting to increase learning and decrease behavior issues by establishing roles, routines, and norms of a classroom. I think if I can actively utilize the approaches above, I can create the type of environment that is helpful to both students and still be a place I want to work in. I do not expect that I can do it all the first year, but maybe over time I can bring in more research based applications of classroom management.
