Education is the priority of priorities. The assurance in Innovation of education has become the main priority of the policy agenda. The government has design mechanisms stimulating socio- economic development of the education system through advancement in the teaching-learning skills. This is the era of change and the role, responsibility and ways of imparting education has changed drastically. The Railing Pillar: The Great Departure of Siddhartha represents the story of Siddhartha’s escape from his life as being a prince and his embarkment on the journey towards Buddhist enlightenment. The creator of this pillar was undisclosed on the display, but it was found in India, Madhya Pradesh, Bharhut and is thought to have been created around the 1st century B.C. The pillar was most likely created as a form of visual storytelling for everyone to be able read and understand the adventure of Siddhartha’s escape from his royal confinements. I chose to study about Tiwanaku, a pre-Columbian archaeological site in South America in A.D. 500 and compare it to Teotihuacan, a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city in 500 A.D. located in a sub valley of the Valley of Mexico. There a great similarities to each place but the two things that separates them is location and time. Tiwanaku is located in the southern shores of Lake Titicaca, in the Province of Ingavi, Department of La Paz. It was built nearly 13,000 feet (4,000 meters) above sea level, making it the highest urban centers ever constructed of its time. Surrounded by mountains and hills settled in a valley, it began as a small settlement in 1200 BCE that reached its peak of inhabitants roughly around 400 A.D. and 900 A.D..
Technical colleges and accredited universities are different in many ways. They both offer two different styles of educational experiences, geared towards different needs and learning styles of the students who are enrolling in the programs (Freeman). They both also offer continuing education and degrees for a post-secondary student, but the courses offered and the experiences gained are vastly different (Freeman). Accredited universities offer four years of bachelor’s degree and two years of associate degree while technical colleges offer associate degree and certificate. In many countries living in extremely poor conditions, not only is basic health an issue but also the lack of education. Although it is a necessity, “more than 72 million children of primary education age are not in school and 759 million adults are illiterate” (Rights to Education 1). The deprivation of education should be taken serious if a change is wanted. People need to become aware of how important education is and the benefit that it has.
