The Effects Technology and School has on Minors:
Technology is an integral part of everyday And with a lot of young students having access with phones, they will most likely sneak their phones into class time to browse social media rather than learn a subject that they think is not worth their time. This could be because the school work, or something in school that is happening to the student, could force them to go on their phones to break away from the issue. And technology can cause people to get addicted and never get off the phone. But if schools integrated time for technology, maybe the issue could be solved. School can be stressful for many students with bullying or work. Bullying is a big problem in school, an example of the issue researcher named Craig took samples of 11, 13, and 15 year old school children from 40 different countries and found that the exposure of bullying varied across each country. (Kozasa, Sachiko 16) Being the victim of bullying is very scarring to a child and may cause many psychological disorders, including depression, but immediate effect of bullying will lead to stress. Schools in the twenty first century also can provide heaps of classwork or homework on a daily basis. Students are expected to enter the class with necessary 21st century skills including effective, quick thinking and mental thinking skills

Vigorous changes continue to this day about the study of technology and the delivery of technology education (Lipton, Ethan B 29). A simple solution for this issue is for schools to integrate time for technology into the student’s everyday school life. This could be allowing phones during lunchtime or breaktime. Another way to fix the issue is to have clubs or have technological homework, schools may already do this but the idea could help students find a career from a club or
Many Americans assume that technology in the classroom is purely a distracting device that can possibly socially disconnect students or encourage academic fraudulence on tests or assignments. While many others see it as a way to enhance education and make learning more fun and effective. We live in a digital world, technology surrounds us in every aspect of our lives. No matter how strongly some people may dislike the premise of the internet and texting in schools, these services are here to stay. Using these technologies in the classroom can prepare students for a future deeply rooted in technology.
Modern society has revolutionized the way in which we use technology. Our daily lives seem to be jam-packed with television, computers, and cell phones. Not only have people become more distracted in the workplace or at home, but they have become more distracted in the classroom. Some claim that technology has educational benefits, yet others believe this is simply absurd and that technology creates more problems than it diminishes. Back in the day, students didn’t have the technological luxuries we now own.
The rivalry between students who believe they should be able to use their cell phones in class and teachers who believe them to be disrespectful has caused a ripple effect that now bleeds through many classrooms roaring its controversial head. And here we are stuck in an ongoing battle seldom won by students. The position that students should not be able to misuse their cell phones in a classroom setting is one held by the author of “Today 's Lesson: Life in the Classroom Before Cellphones” Louise Katz, who believes that “those halcyon days” were over (Katz). Likewise, Zoya Kahn, the author of “Why Cell Phones Do Not Belong In The Classroom” has a similar stance on the topic, Kahn states that “it is in everyone’s interest for instructors to
Bullies are usually stronger and victims are usually perceived as weaker and unable to protect themselves.” (Masterson,1997) Bullying expands in many aspects of everyday life; from schoolchildren and teenagers, to adults , working environments and even spouses and family members. Considering that the first signs of bullying appear among schoolchildren, we should examine it in its infancy, that is, bullying in early years and school life, which in turn becomes with the passage of years violence and in some cases even crime. As far as bullying at school is concerned, “one definition is that a student is being bullied or victimized, when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time , to negative actions on the part of one or more other students.”
Bullying is an undesirable, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves actual disparity of power. According to Megan Brooks bullying is a serious public health problems, with significant short-and long-term psychological consequences for the child who is bullied and the child who is the bully. This only tells us that bullying can lead to difficulty that a certain children may experience and will have either short or long term problem. “Bullying has long been tolerated as a rite of passage among children and adolescents, but it has lasting, negative consequences and cannot simply be ignored.” Committee chair Frederick Rivera, MD.

Recently, bullying has been becoming more and more of an issue. It’s gotten so bad that one out of four kids deal with it. Currently, bullying is worldwide. There’s no place where it began, because it’s pretty much human nature. Many people are trying to stop it, whether by using zero-tolerance policies, small punishments, and more, however, nothing has worked so far.
Bullying has been named an “emerging public health issue requiring intervention” (Ansary, Elias, Greene, & Green, 2015, p. 27). As a major problem in schools around the world, the issue of bullying must be addressed in order to keep students physically and emotionally safe. The act of bullying not only affects the well-being of the person being targeted, but it also affects the rest of the school community too. It can be difficult for teachers, principals, and superintendents to make an ethical decision about what to do when bullying occurs because there are misunderstandings about what bullying is, leading to the improper identification of situations.
Bullying in Schools What seems fun and harmless for some students, is painful and degrading to others. Bullying has been a critical issue around schools, but before it was not as dangerous and know as it is now. These do not means bullying was not happening, it means it was not taken into consideration by parents or teachers. They thought it was just peer pressure or a kids game, and sooner or later the kids would be friends again. At one point, bullies think it’s normal to be mean and abusive to other students.

Bullying is a widespread problem in our schools and communities and has a negative impact on students’ right to learn in a safe and secure environment without fear. It is a process in which one person repeatedly uses his/her superior strength or influence to mistreat, attack or force another person to do something (Van der Werf, 2014). Bullying or peer victimization is now recognized as a complex and pervasive problem (Beran, 2009). It is an ongoing problem that is not restricted by age, race, gender or class. This behavior generally takes one of four forms, physical such as assault, verbal which involves threats or insults, social which entails exclusion or rumor spreading, and cyber which includes aggressive texts or social network posts
THE FUNCTION OF ENGINEERS IN PROTECTING THE SOCIETY 1. MEANING OF ENGINEERING We often use the words “science and technology” for engineering. what can be done by engineers with science and technology? Researchers think about it and do some research which resulted in the understanding that engineering is about planning and designing something that helps society by regulating science and technology.
The numbers of bullied children are increasing as well as the victims, bullying don’t only affect the victims, but the bully’s and every one surrounding them (DecemberStone, n.d.). Bullying can affect the children personality, cases problems in the society, and it also gives a bad idea for the outsiders about our culture. Anyhow, it got to stop. It is an undeniable fact that technology touches almost everybody’s lives in some way in our current “modern” era. What can be counted as a part of technology dates back to the first computers, which occupy almost a room. From those times till today when we actually need only a smartphone, technology has gone through several significant steps including the foundation of Apple Inc., developments in Android and numerous computer programs. Some of them proved to be beneficial while the others seemed to have certain disadvantages. On the other hand, through the rise of technology, a great number of technological developments has occurred in educational areas.
Bullying is defined as repeated oppression, physical or psychological of a less powerful individual by a more powerful individual, people or group. It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear. Many people believe that bullying is part of life, happens in all schools and so it’s not an issue to worry about and that it lets individuals know what life is all about as it toughens them but in reality bullying is a detrimental problem that affects most school going children and teenagers physically, emotionally and socially.
