Over the last two decades, our world has made massive technological advances. There has been a lot of progress in communication with the rise of smartphones and other electronics. In the scientific fields with the research that is being conducted all over the world from stem cell research and experiments to space exploration to 3D printing. And in the medical field with cancer therapies, better and more safe treatment options for many different diseases, and bionic prosthetics. The rise of technology has created incredible advancements and opportunities for many different fields and careers that help make our lives easier and more secure.
There is one more area in which technology has made a significant impact. That are is art. Art has always

In the 1820’s the original idea for photography was created by using light to record an image of something onto a light sensitive material. The next advance in photography was the camera obscura. This was basically a very dark room with a hole in one wall to let light in and project an image from the outside onto the wall opposite the hole. Later, a man named Joseph Niépce invented heliography which was the first real camera. After eight hours of exposure, the first photograph was taken by Niépce from his apartment window. Fast forward about one-hundred years and we have the first digital cameras. As technology advanced over the last fifteen years, cameras have become much more advanced. We can now take pictures in a matter of milliseconds. With the early cameras all you could do was take a picture with the lighting that you had and hope that it would focus. But now we can adjust hundreds of setting before we take a picture. We can change the aperture so we get the right amount of light, and zoom in to catch the smallest and most intricate details, or zoom out to capture the whole big picture. Our cameras can focus themselves so that images don’t turn out blurry but clear, sharp, and precise. Another important thing that the technology has helped with is accessibility. While the technology in and of itself is incredibly complicated and complex, the process of actually using that technology to take a photograph is just the opposite. It’s so …show more content…
How is this? Well, think about art created hundreds of years ago. It is incredibly precious and worth a lot of money. Why is this? Because they are one of a kind! Art from times such as the Renaissance period and the Romantic era is so important because it is all original artwork, and normally only produced once. But now, artist have the ability to mass produce their artwork very quickly. Again, Take photography for example. The photographer can make as many prints of his image as he or she wants. I have personally seen the same picture by the same photographer in multiple peoples homes. A lot of people say that mass production limits creativity. I think this is true on some levels; however, I also think it is a false statement. First of all, I think social media is a big part of this. People see images all over facebook or instagram and try to recreate that photo. This is where I think creativity goes down the drain. Because when this happen, people get tunnel vision. Meaning, they only see one thing; they don’t look for different angles and perspectives and, in a sense, they lose their imagination because they are trying to do what somebody else has already done, when they should be making something one of a kind and completely their own. Dr. Seuss summed this idea up pretty well: “Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the things you can think up if only you try!” That
In conclusion, not only does she effectively contribute to the conversation regarding the decline of creativity and why it happens, but through her efficient usage of ethos, logos, pathos, and kairos, Manoush Zomorodi gives a thoroughly convincing presentation. Weaving these together creates a favorable argument for why taking time to set aside electronic devices boosts creativity. Overall, Zomorodi created a compelling argument that not only convinces her intended audience, but also those who may have initially disagreed with her.
The advancement of technology that our society has been privileged with, is starting to take over human’s emotions and replace them with those of a robot. When it comes to the discussion of technology, I have mixed feelings because, in my opinion, we do have a great tool in the palm of our hands. However, I also think human emotions and actions are starting to become robot-like. We need to be able to process emotions so that we can better our understanding of not only each other but also ourselves. I strongly think society needs to evict the virtual world and come back to the real world although it is safe to say I personally have a love-hate relationship with technology.
In “Defense of Technology” Andrew O’Hagan talks about how technology is making life get better as time goes by, technology is improvement and improvement like never before. Every part of our daily life
This changed technology in a way that reshaped how we live today. Technology will continue to leave a huge impact in today 's society and these qualities were especially shown during the decade of
There a multiple angles and perspectives you can use to see images through a camera lens. Using a “camera” allows creativity that people will never be able to see using the cardboard paper
Nearly every time our family eats in Cracker Barrel, we get a laugh about some of the old photographs hanging on the wall. It is hard to believe that those people had to be perfectly still for a very long time to just take one picture. In the time it has taken me to write this paragraph, my dad took a bunch of pictures of our cat. On just our phones alone, the picture quality, speed, and color were probably unimaginable 100 years ago.
The Industrial Revolution has changed America in many ways, some good and some bad. The most important changes that brought about the Industrial Revolution were the invention of machines to do the work of hand tools, the use of steam, and later of other kinds of power, in place of the muscle of human beings and animals, and the adoption of the factory system. In my opinion the Industrial Revolution has done more good for America than it has done harm. In the beginning of the Industrial Revolution there weren’t many laws that governed the industries.
Also, in 1951, the first flash camera was invented which helped enjoy sports, in a way that anyone could go watch their favorite sports and get good quality pictures during the day or at
In the 1840s, Dr Hugh Welch Diamond was a doctor whom used photography involving the mentally ill for his studies. He studied psychiatry at Bethlem Hospital in London. He combined his medical training with photographic practice and began to photograph the patients at the Surrey County Asylum. He photographed the patients in portrait format with a plain background. The patients were dressed in their clothes that they had to wear in the asylum, thus stripping them of their identity and they appeared uncared for.
Also following the dominance of digital cameras, film distributions and editing software. Technology drastically changed the way editing was done. Digital editing has opened many great possibilities and opportunities for filmmakers then ever before. It has made adding special effects and cutting images simpler then using a pair of scissors and glue to put It
With creativity being so unique to every individual, this puts some people at a greater advantage. If you're constantly generating new ideas and visuals, perhaps consider the possibilities that lie for you in the somewhat near
Modernism and popular styles became indistinct from each other in the 1950s. Art was never the same after the Holocaust and atom bombs. Plurality of visual forms existed in 1950s. If we take 1950s painting as an offshoot of New York school of abstract art, then photography in the 1950s is a more eclectic phenomenon, harder to classify. This can be attributed to the commercialisation of photography by the mid-century due to the rise of print media during the 1940s.
Technological Determinism Technological determinism is a reductionist theory that aims to provide a causative link between technology and a society’s nature. It tries to explain as to whom or what could have a controlling power in human affairs. The theory questions the degree to which human thought or action is influenced by technological factors. The term ‘technological determinism’ was coined by Thorstein Veblen and this theory revolves around the proposition that technology in any given society defines its nature.
CHAPTER TWO LITERATURE REVIEW AND THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK 2.1 Introduction: This chapter would analysis photography under conceptual review as the main concept of this study, it would look at the history of photography, types of photography, and types of cameras available till date, followed by empirical review and lastly the theoretical framework would come at the end of this chapter. 2.2.1 History of photography The concept of photography was coined out of a Greek words “photo” meaning light and “graphy” meaning writing and when merged together the word means writing with light. Although different scholars proffered different definitions of photography, the concept, however still remains the same.

Technology is a broad concept that has come to refer to breakthroughs in science that enables a better solution or automatic. With technology, there are many benefits that can be achieved by people. Day by day, technology made human live become easier and improved. Recent developments in technology can be seen and felt in many industries, but there are some areas that have benefited more than others.
