In the novel Fahrenheit 451, author Ray Bradbury shows how technology may have both positive and negative effects on society like a double edged sword.. He issues warnings about both the positive and negative aspects of modern society throughout the entire book. Because so much has changed since this book was written in 1953, it is now a reality rather than simply a dream. The book shows how humans are being replaced by technology, how difficult it is for people to think seriously about their lives, and how governmental censorship has grown quickly thanks to technology. Many of the technological concepts presented in this book initially appear to be positive but have negative consequences in the long run. However when you take a deeper look into the mental tension it is causing to people it is no longer something that is great. This parallel with the rapid advancement of technology is obvious. In the movie Wall-e trash is suffused all over in this city that wally lives, Wall-e cleans up and compacts this trash so that the humans don't have to do it, no humans no nothing just Wall-e ( a robot to clean the city) “Wall-e”. This is illustrated in the book as well, specifically when Mildred claims that "I think my television is my family" (Bradbury 48). As this quotation illustrates, society is gradually evolving as a result of the advancement of technology, which alters how people view one another and technological advancements. In the book, replacements weren't just being made for people. To make their duties easier, the robot hound was replacing things like police dogs and other similar equipment.
