Technology has had a leading impact in the medical field since it has allowed it to reach areas that were probably once thought as intangible. For instance, cancer treatments and bone marrow transplants were not likely to occur successfully in the past due to how costly the treatments were or not being able to fulfill it because of the lack of devices. However, now, doctors, nurses, and even therapists enhance this wonder into their daily activities in which they help others recuperate. Therefore, new technology has led to many innovative ways of solving medical mysteries, for it allows more precise diagnostics, enhances the world of medicine, provides higher advancements in prosthetics, helps result in adequate treatment for our furry …show more content…

In today’s world and with new devices, doctors are able to transcribe and provide a better treatment system for those who are in major need or those who are simply looking for a checkup. Doctors are better able to diagnose and prescribe a patient because of the devices they use, such as MRIs, X-rays, and ultrasounds, which help give signs of what is going on within a patient. With accurate information on their disease or injury, the doctor can prescribe the correct medication and the right quantity. In surgeries, doctors have been able to understand the challenges within them, but have learned to overcome those obstacles by using higher equipped instruments and more active technology. For instance, surgeons rely on safe equipment, such as medical cameras, which are inserted into a patient’s body in order to view their organs without making incisions. Also, vaccines against deadly diseases have been produced due to technology that examines the illness and produces antibodies, protein that helps the immune system identify a virus or bacteria. Polio, malaria, and MMR(measles, mumps, and rubella) are attacked by the vaccines and, according to the World Health Organization, about 3 million lives are saved each year which prevent many others from contracting …show more content…

One of the many new gadgets that allow patients to visit their doctors in a faster way are virtual doctor visits. Not only are the disabled capable to access their medical issues and can find a way to solve them, doctors can also have a way to diagnose better, for they do not have to stress over the problems they face in appointments where they interact physically. Additionally, patients can be sure that they receive their medicine and antibiotics by remote patient monitoring, which allows the diseased to be identified whenever his or her blood level, blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate, and weight, are too high or low, permitting them to receive the correct treatment and tips about their conditions. In addition, doctors may even function with robotic surgeons, in which they don’t have to be present in an operation room, meaning patients can have the surgery in any hospital that they wish. In other cases, the doctor stays in the room, but the robotic device provides a faster procedure, which can result in less scarring and a faster recovery time. Other than that, robotic nurse assistants, such as the Robot for Interactive Body Assistance, RIBA, developed by Tokai Rubber Industries, permit a patient with a disability to be able to move to a different position. This innovative robot can carry and set down a patient from sitting in a wheelchair to
