Introduction
The evolution of technology has seen its increasing prevalence in modern warfare, including asymmetrical warfare. Usage of technology have resolves many problems in current military. Technology clearly increases efficiency and productivity thus delivering more for less and with pinpoint accuracy. They are molding the future of war and changing the paradigm of modern warfare tactics and military engagement protocol. In modern warfare the dependence on and interaction with technology is undisputed.
The Gulf War demonstrated that advanced technologies have brought significant changes to how war is waged. Soldiers are equipped with GPS, video and real time voice communication links to the unmanned aerial vehicles. Commanders are given unprecedented situational awareness thru the means of the intelligence sensors, precision navigation data and communications from the unmanned …show more content…

It is obvious that countries that possess the economic power to own the latest technology will definitely at an advantage, and countries will continue to focus on leveraging technology and weapon systems to provide greater operational-readiness and flexibility during war and peace time. The use of unmanned or robotic systems brings many benefits but they should be seen as a complementary rather than replacements for existing manned systems. In the end, the importance of human dependency is aptly summed up below:
