Technologies positives and negatives All throughout my day I am either on my phone or my laptop. When I gaze around in public or at school, I see people on their cell phones and tablets everywhere. In today’s world, people depend on technology for everything including: homework, essays, tests, and shopping. In fact, it is rare for a person to not have some type of technological device. Some individuals would even say they cannot live without their devices. Technology has a positive and a negative impact on education. Even though it is more convenient and more efficient, it can also cause difficulties in learning and a decline in health. Today, technology is more convenient for individuals to absorb. People can do homework, quizzes, and tests on their own time. Technology is so efficient that people can do their homework in their car, at a family reunion, or on vacation. In contrast to this idea, taking a test at home in a familiar environment decreases test anxiety, making it easier for one to make better grades. Anyone can check his or her grades on E-learn instead of having to harass professors about his or her grade. Students do not need to lug around big binders and notebooks because their computer carries all the information they need. Also, search engines such as Google, Bing, and Ask make it easy for people to get responses quickly on any kind of topic. Students can e-mail their instructors if they have a specific question about an assignment and get feedback
Another form used to further persuade about the positiveness of IT, is how, despite its few disadvantages, mobile devices have improved and become of the most useful devices available. Over the years information technology has improved to their point where people can no longer live their life without it, relying on their phones for the time, reminders, to do lists, and to contact people. In the workforce, technology has improved and negatively affected how we live. A negative
The research allowed me to grasp and truly understand how big of an issue technology really is. In this reading, Eric discusses how technology is negatively impacting our society. He interviews educated and credible people who state facts and statistics on how technology brings negative results. Eric states,” The evidence for this goes beyond the carping of Luddites. Its there, cold and hard, in a growing body of research by psychiatrists/ family time” (Andrew-Gee 6).

People rely on technology for many things. Phones, laptops, and tablets can be used for social networking, researching for a school assignments, to quickly looking up information
People who always use search engines can become very good at finding information, but not remembering it. In addition, children who use too much technology may not have enough opportunities to read, use their imagination, and think deeply about material. Also, technology can contribute to the risk of obesity, the more technology we use the less exercise we
actually affects our brains and the way we use them. Many people would argue that technology has more cons than pros, however it’s quite the opposite. We use technology in our everyday lives and it helps us to gain more knowledge than we’ve ever been able to before. The technology we have today is one of the greatest advantages we could have. Andrea Lunsford, who wrote “Our Semi-Literate Youth?
In conclusion, technology can have negative impacts on today’s people in many ways. It is harmful to people’s well-being, makes people lose physical connections with those around them, and it makes students disregard their work. Technology is everywhere in today’s society. These devices can be so harmful to people without them even knowing it. People should be more aware of what technology can do, and try their best not to depend on
Technology has always been progressing thus it is rampant in our society today. We use technology; depend on technology in our daily life and our needs and demands for technology keep on rising (Ramey, 2012). Wherever you look, you will see people holding different kinds of technology like cell phone, laptop, tablets and etc. It appears to most of us that technology is a necessity to the point where we can no longer live without it. According to Gavin (2013), technology moves at a rapid pace, and can be hard to keep up with at times.
We all use it. Whether it is a text to your significant other, a hard work day on the job, a quick drive to the store, even something as simple as going to church, no matter where we are we always seem to be using technology. Technology is a growing issue with each passing day and even though there are positive effects it also has its negative side. It affects the things we do such as communication and playing, but most importantly affects our brain with our daily thought process. Today, Im going to inform you on how technology has affected you and your daily lifestyle habits.
Many people can agree that the introduction of technology into society has impacted humans a lot. Kids are using cell phones, computers are used in schools. Technology is everywhere in people’s lives. But the true question is whether or not technology is ruining people. Starting from the fact that kids are getting less and less physical activity due to technology, technology also ruins social skills in people, and the fact that technology is very dangerous, technology is ruining people.
Have you ever considered the amount of productivity, responsibility, blocking of confusion, and the amount of satisfied office workers cell phones can make happen in schools. Well, if you are a principal cell phones could make everyday life at your schools a lot easier. ¨Using smartphones for on-the-fly research during class is a start. ¨ But a good next step is having students gather pertinent information and then learn ways to analyze the validity of their sources.¨ (centerdigitaled)
