Technology has always been around in some sort of fashion. Like for example, the invention of the first light bulb or the automobile. My grandmother would always tell my brother and me, how the first television that her family purchased was a huge box set television, but for that time period the technology to actually see a real live human being on a screen was revolutionary. The television and radio were a significant technological advancement for the people of that time period. Technology is always changing every minute of each day that passes. Technology is very impressive at this moment. Technology can save a person’s life through life saving medical equipment or as simple as reconnecting friends and family. I feel the more technology advances it takes away from face to face communication. For example, when a person sends a text message or e-mail it is hard to see how they take in the information and how it makes them feel. I personally like the hello from a stranger or a friend, but with all the new technology individuals more than likely have their face buried in some sort of electronic device. In conclusion, many wonderful gadgets and devices have come from technology. My mother would not be here today, if not for the lifesaving technology advancement in medicine. Technology is wonderful. I personally desire individuals would be more aware and have more interaction with one another. As a society, I think eventually we will regress and start realizing that those around us need attention beside our gadgets and devices. We may say to ourselves that this moment and time is all that is guaranteed.
