Teen activists change the world and the people in it everyday. Teen activism is kids, or teenagers who are trying to help solve a worldly cause. To become an activist, you need determination, courage, and percerverience to solve your problem. Some activists solve problems that are important, but not so huge, but people like Craig Kielburger, Alex Libby, and Malala Yousafzai are people who solve gaint problems in the world.
Craig Kielburger One activist that changed the world is Craig Kielburger. Craig was born on December 17 1982 in Thornhill Canada. When he was middle schooler, Craig was reading an article about Iqbal Masih who wanted to stop child labor, right then and there he had a dream of stopping child labor. One trait Craig has that makes him so unique is that he is hardworking. A way that Craig is hardworking is that he built 650 schools for places who didn’t have schools to help stop child labor. Now that Craig made a statement in the world, he was awarded $319,000 to help him with his legal costs and

Malala was born on July 12 1997 in Mingora, in northwest Pakistan. When Malala's school for girls closed down, she began to fight for all children and especially girls to be educated. One way that makes Malala such a great teen activist is that she determined. She is determined because even though she stands for what she believes, but she won’t stop fighting until a change has been made. But one day, she was going home from school and she was caught by the Taliban and shot down the left side of her face. Luckily, she survived and while she was in the hospital, she quoted, “I want every girl, every child to be educated.” Later, Malala started a fund called “The Malala Fund” which raised money to educate every child. Malala fights for what is right, and that is how she changes the world. An awesome way to find more information is on the website, “Malala Yousafzai-Women’s
She knew the dangers that followed her actions. She was only 11 years old and she still had enough determination to make a change. There were a few bumps in her road, like when many villagers told her mother the Taliban would kill her father if they found out what Malala was doing. But that didn’t stop her. Of course her family worried but they never stopped her from making a change for the better.
No one thought the Taliban would hurt a child but one day a man shot Malala in the head in her school bus while she was coming home from school. Thankfully she survived, and continued to speak out about her the right for girls to have access to an education. After the Taliban started attacking young girls, Malala decided to give a speech. She named her speech, "How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?" Malala did not stand for such cruelty from the Taliban.
Malala Yousafzai, being a completely different person that any girl in her country demonstrates the gruesome and savage nature of the men and women in the country of Pakistan. She not only shows the unawareness driven by fright among the people there, but displays how horrid it truly was. Influences of a misinterpretation form of Islam yield the innocent under the hands of the miserable forces of the evil such as the Taliban. Subsequently, the country of Pakistan under Taliban rule has gone through continuous fear and discriminations that strip girls from their education. Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani woman who only wanted an education, was obligated to view her life at its worst and at the same time, view the desire and dreams of girls who fight for their education that they have been denied.
One example of a teen activist is Faye Carey. Teen activist’s are teens who are looking to make the world a better place. Take Iqbal for instance he tried to prevent child labor and get kids in his country an education, Malala wanted girls and boys in pakistan to have a education, and Alex Linn wanted to get rid of E-waste in his town. This story is about Emily-Anne. Teen activism is about finding a problem and a way to solve it. Emily-Anne RIgal noticed bullying was a problem so she solved it by finding the best way which was through the internet.
For example, Alex Lin went to the government to get a law passed to ban dumping electronics in trash cans. He influenced others to see why it important to use e-waste instead of dumping electronics. Another example is Malala, who inspired others with her blog talking about how her life was like in Pakistan with the Taliban, and advocating for girls education; as shown in “A Heroic Return.” “Malala has been an Internet blogger, or writer, since she was 11 years old. In 2011 she was awarded Pakistan’s National Peace Award for her bravery in writing about the difficulties of life and education in the shadow of the Taliban.”
One very important teen activist named Malala Yousafzai was a schoolgirl born in Mingora, Pakistan in a small village named SWAT. When she was younger her school shut down ,she realized that education is really important so she started to speak up and to tell other people that education is really important but the Taliban (a terrorist group) targeted her and they tried
Malala Yousafzai is the youngest woman to ever receive the Nobel Peace Prize who is from Pakistan. She was shot and left for dead by the Taliban for standing up for women’s education at the age of 15 back in 2012. In Pakistan, women are not capable of going to school because the Taliban prohibits them from doing so. The Taliban is a terrorist group who took over Malala’s region when she was just 10 years old. Malala wrote I am Malala to introduce her life to the world and how women all around the world do not obtain basic human rights.
The three teen activists who inspire me the most are Malala Yousafzai, Faye Carey, and Emily Rigel. The first teen that supports the idea that teen activists inspire people to do good things, is Faye Carey. Faye Carey fights for new homes of abandoned dogs. In an article from News Hub, Teenage Girl is Dogs’ Best Friend, it says she wants “to give animals a second chance.”
Throughout American history, few groups if any have experienced the social and economic inequality African Americans have experienced. Since the 1890’s, they’ve accomplished a lot like gaining the right to vote, getting segregation abolished, etc. Many of these changes were spurred on by activists of the Civil Rights Movement. These activists were people like Oliver Brown who is the reason Brown v. Board of Education occurred, college students from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who started the Greensboro sit-in, and everyone who participated in the peaceful protest in Selma, Alabama. In each case, activists made a positive impact; Oliver Brown’s case made people see that segregated schools are unjust, the students
Malala comes from the patriarch country of Pakistan. In Pakistan women have no rights. Her country also mostly consists of Muslims. Growing up in Pakistan Malala’s country got invaded by the terrorist group known as the Taliban, who wanted strict Muslim laws enforced and wanted women to be isolated from things men can do including education. Being a girl Malala was at risk of losing her right to go to school because the Taliban would go to extreme forces to prohibit girls from going to school including bombing many schools.
Chapter 1 Teen Activists All teen activists such as Alex Lin Malala and Iqbal work to help make a world a better place. That might take months or even years. We know that's a long time! Teen Activists also face challenges like, they cannot spread the word to others, they have many people stand in there way,and the reason activists do these things even though it puts there life at risk is because they want to help in ways they can. According to (Youth Activists Project), “nearly half of the world population is underage 18.
Malala Yousafzai Pakistani teenager who was shot in the head by Taliban when she was 14 years old because she was brave to speak out about education and women right in her country. Therefore, the Taliban issued a law stating that no girls’ may go to school. Malala was living in war and was very paranoid, and also, When the Taliban took control of the Swat Valley in Pakistan, one girl spoke out. Malala Yousafzai refused to be silenced and battled for her right to an education.
Malala stood up against the taliban, and demanded the right of education for girls. She has rallied the world in the fight to educate young girls, and children in general. But her greatest gift has been to demonstrate to everyone around the world, that it is possible to stand up against what is wrong. Malala has shown courage because she knew the risk it would take to advocate for the education of girls. Malala states, “ All I want is an education, and I am afraid of no one”.
She stood up for her rights and everyone else's too. Shot by the Taliban, Malala continues to campaign about educational rights. She has left her legacy as “The woman who stood up for girls’ education”. The early years of Malala’s life were very difficult and hard for her.
