Teenage Odyssey This is my teenage odyssey, and my journey and experiences of growing and learning as a person. When I was in middle school, I was really shy and awkward and I didnt have a lot of friends because I was too scared to talk to people and put myself out there, but one thing that people had always told me ever since I could remember is that I was nice. I was nice to everybody all the time, that's one of my best traits. I always had a couple good friends that got me through it and that were always there for me. My friends are a big part of my journey because they shaped me to be the person I am today. A major important part of this journey was my first boyfriend, Alex Moreno. It was in eighth grade until a couple months ago. In …show more content…
Me and him were so close when we were little, but as we got older we never really got along, but now we are much closer and we have a special connection. He brings out the fun side of me and teaches me to be kind to others. He’s the only person in my family that truly understands me. I am always hanging out in his room whenever I’m bored, and he always makes my day better. He is my best friend. He definitely helped me become a better person and shaped me into how i am now. My cousin, Cambria has had the same effect on me as my brother did. When we were little I couldn’t stand her, because she’s not actually related to me, and her family has issues with mine. As we got older though, we got closer together and now we’re like best friends. She is just like me and is one of the best things in my life. I only get to see her a few times a year, but whenever I’m with her is when I’m truly happy. Being with her takes all my stress and sadness away. She taught me to not be afraid of what people think of you. She plays a big role in this journey of mine. This has been my journey of being a teenager and learning and growing as a person and breaking out of my shell. This journey is not over yet, in fact it's just begun because I am still so young and still have so many things to experience. My friends and family have had such a huge role in my life for this part, and hopefully it’ll stay that way when my teenage years are almost
When I was was younger, I was a caterpillar crawling around trying to get through life, waiting to turn into the beautiful butterfly I know I could soon become. I made good decisions along with bad ones, saw the beauty in life as well as the unpleasant. I was like everyone else trying to be their own person, but now as I look at myself in the mirror I can finally see who I really am. I see myself as the beautiful butterfly I once dreamed of becoming, ready to fly down my own path. I have been in my chrysalis and I am finally out and ready to fly into my bright future.
Usually in life, it is best for anyone to take a step back to the past and look at the big picture. No one could flatter himself that he is immune to the changes around him. Moreover, with all the demands that life can put on a person, sometimes it is easy to lose the essence of “me”. By losing this essence, the person could develop either a better version or a worse version of himself. Looking back at the beginning of this year (freshman year), I have been just that young soul eager to meet life’s challenges especially culture changing challenges.
What is a teen activist? A teen activist is someone who inspires people to do good in the world. They take a little cause and make it known worldwide. I believe that if we have teen activists in the world, people will want to do good things to help them. If that is true teen activists could make our world a better place.
My childhood was lost because of this, but since coming out a new world has opened. When I started my freshman year of high school I was quiet, extremely introverted, depressed, and always anxious. I didn’t how to make friends, I had no friends, and I was at a new school. My world was turned upside down, but for the first time in my life, I could be who I wanted to be, which was myself. I didn’t want to trapped inside myself anymore and didn’t want to be afraid of what the world could do to me.
He has passed on attributes such as honesty and respect and I hope to perfect these attributes and pass them down to my children once I am married. My parents have also influenced me in many ways such
