The article, “Teens Against Hitler”, by Lauren Tarshis describes the challenges Ben Kamm fought while fighting with the the partisans in WWII and the courage he had while doing it. Ben wanted to continue living in his apartment with his family and play with his friends every day. But, the German troops forced them into a ghetto with 400,000 other jews. So, Ben decided to join the partisans, “...they operated from bases hidden deep in the thick forests of Eastern Europe.”(8). Then, war finally ended in 1945. Ben received the news that the rest of his family had been killed. In the 1930s and 40s, a man named Hitler Took over Germany, and his goal was to kill every jewish person in Europe. He even said, “Eliminate the jews,” Hitler proclaimed, “and you will eliminate all of Germany's problems!”(6). The Bielski Brothers grew up in a village named Stankiewicze. It was located in eastern Poland in-between the town Lida and Nowogrodek. Elie Wiesel certainly deserves his biography; out of the millions who were sent to these terrible death camps, he not only survived, but went on to inspire millions as an author, philosopher, and public speaker. Elie was a religious fifteen year old boy living in Sighet, but when his town was overtaken by the Germans, his life turned upside down.
Everyone has to overcome obstacles sometime in their life. During the Holocaust, Jews had to overcome many more struggles and obstacles than the average person. The average person’s everyday struggles might be having their computer occasionally crash, or tripping over a rock. During the Holocaust and World War 2, the Jews had much bigger troubles. Jews in Holocaust children’s books, The Book Thief, the movie Paper Clips, and The Diary of Anne Frank all had to overcome many struggles in everyday life.

Oskar Schindler A man named Oskar Schindler actually saved more than 1,200 Jews in the Holocaust. He persuaded the Nazis to save them and transferring his workers so they don 't suffer the death camps. He is a very brave man for what he did. By 1935 a lot of Sudeten Germans joined the pro-Nazi Sudeten German Party. Schindler joined too-not for the love of Nazis, but because it made business sense for prevailing wind.
