Teenagers and toddlers both require responsibility when taken care of and they both can act immature. Teenagers can be reckless and make wrong choices and so can toddlers. These two humans may have similar traits but they’re different. A teenager and toddler have their similarities and differences but it 's harder to deal with a toddler than a teenager. Teenagers and toddlers are similar in many ways. First, they both can be immature. A toddler sometimes doesn 't listen or follow rules like a teenager. Teenagers can do immature things like play around during class. Toddlers are young and don 't really know any better so they naturally act immature. They both do things they are told not to do and do immature things at inappropriate times. Both of them also throw tantrums. A teenager might throw a tantrum if they can 't hang out with their friends. A toddler might throw a tantrum when they can 't play with their toys. Second, toddlers and teenagers are both affected by the people around them in good and bad ways. A teenager might see another teen smoking and might think it 's …show more content…
Though they have their similarities, toddlers and teenagers have differences. Teenagers have more freedom than toddlers. Toddlers are usually being occupied by an adult all day. Depending on the age of the teenager, they could be occupied by an adult only during school. If a teenager is eighteen or nineteen they are considered adults. A toddler requires more responsibility. Toddlers depend on their parents for everything because they can 't do a lot of things by themselves. When it 's time to go to sleep, a teenager might just get on their phone until they fall asleep. However, toddlers might want to be tucked in at night or want a story read to them. Some toddlers are afraid of the dark or want to have someone with them until they fall asleep. While they sleep, they can start crying in the middle of the night because of a bad dream. This can be difficult to deal with if it happens
Merriam-Webster defines juvenile as physiologically immature or undeveloped or young. While the legal definition of juvenile is typically someone under the age of eighteen. I believe these definitions vary greatly. In these cases a seventeen year old is going to be more mature and know what they are doing in a criminal sense, when twelve year old may not.
When someone who commits a crime is determined to be mentally inadequate to be held accountable for the crimes they have committed, there are things that we do to charge them, but in a lesser way because of their mental capacity. Which begs the question, why are we allowing children to be sentenced to life, when their brains aren’t fully developed? When a child commits a crime we look over that, and stop seeing them as children. We shouldn’t sentence children to a life in prison when their brains are not only underdeveloped, but also missing a good portion of gray matter.
During the beginning of modern Europe, there were conflicting views on the proper way to view children. Previously in history, the infant mortality rate was very high, so kids were treated more like adults and were often neglected because odds were they would die. There was a resounding view that kids should be treated harshly in order to become strong. Then in the seventeenth century, the idea of being tender and gentle to your kids was introduced. The way in children were brought up was influenced by assumptions made on both old and new schools of thought.
For example, a man has responsibilities and thus has many attachments to society such as family, friends, and even career. A child has yet to be corrupted with society 's seed and cannot understand it. Thus, a child has an easier chance to separate from
Coming of Age Coming-of-age is difficult for both teens and parents. The parents often have trouble parenting when the teenager is disrespectful and confused. Teenagers do not realize that their parents have been in the same shoes as them and know what is best for them.. Coming-of-age involves recognizing different perspectives.
The responsibilities of an adult are very hard to transition into. Many adult expect teenagers to understand these new feeling that they have and to deal with them on their own, even though they are
The age of adolescence, is what I find to believe, the age of rebelliousness. As we make the transition from being a child, to an adult, we start to make our own decisions. No longer do we listen to the constant blabbering of someone telling us, what is right, and what is wrong for us. Instead, we break free from the ones controlling us, and find our own path, rather than travelling in the direction they are pushing us towards. From a young age, we must learn how to make our own judgement of things, and learn how to fend for ourselves.
Teenagers are very different in personalities some teenagers like to get in trouble and some don’t think of what will happen next in their everyday lifestyle. Their was this book that i have read and it was about teenagers doing drugs and drinking and they were making careless mistakes and some of the teenagers will not do any of those things because they think of the consequences. Also some teenager will do a lot of things like not driving right making wrong turns and other things but they get over it and pick up from the beginning. Some people believe that teenagers are careless and don’t think about their consequences. Teenagers are careless in public and in school because they are in front of other people and try to do bad things and show off.
Juvenile Justice Essay In the United States, there have been many cases where a juvenile would be found guilty and be tried as an adult. There are other cases where those juveniles are tried as adult forever. I am against charging juveniles as adults when they commit violent crimes, the juveniles lose many educational opportunities and the adult system is far too dangerous for the young juveniles. Juveniles are also young kids but only the fact that they do not get the same amount of education or experience that other teens gain.
When children and teens commit a violent crime such as murder, courts convict them as adults. This means that children as young as eight have been tried as adults in court. Eventually, these convicts will be housed in jails with adults. Despite the federal law stating that juvenile and adult inmates must be separated, most states do not comply with these rules. Furthermore, a law that varies throughout the states is the age in which courts send the children to adult or juvenile prisons.
Cognitive, neurological and brain development (Acquiring knowledge and the nervous system). Between birth to 6 months babies and children use their senses to become aware e.g. knowing they are hungry, as well as recognising key people in their lives and responding to physical smiles. In the next 6 months, they are beginning to understand tone of voice and begin to have favourite toys. Between 1 to 2 years children start to use objects correctly e.g. a cup.
Can you imagine waking up behind closed walls and bars? Waking up to see your inmate who is a 45-year-old bank robber and you are a 14-year-old minor who made a big mistake. This is why minors who have committed crimes should not be treated the same as adults. Some reasons are because the consequences given to minors in adult court would impact a minor’s life in a negative way. If a minor is tried through a juvenile court, they have a greater chance of rehabilitation.
Teens Get Stressed Too Adults often believe that teens do not have much to be stressed about. Teenagers do indeed have a lot on their plate. Dealing with school, a job, school work, working towards getting their permit/license, sports, even things at home, teenagers tend to be extremely stressed. A majority of teenagers suffer from anxiety and depression from all of the pressure put on them.
They both experience the good and the bad. They are also both intertwined with each other. Even when as a child sometimes take adult decisions. Then there are the times when as an adult you have to let your inner child take the action. Next as an adult they have to make firm decisions.
They live care freely and can do something without worrying about it. Adults have to worry about did I lock the car? or did I shut the garage door? The list is never ending. Being an adult is very stressful there are so many responsibilities.
