Temptation
The purpose of this paper is to analyze a movie using three concepts from psychology of human sexual behavior class. The movie I will analyze is Temptation. The three concepts I will apply are alcohol myopia theory, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The film Temptation discussed the confessions of a marriage counselor. The main characters in this film are Judith, who is the counselor, her husband Brice who is a pharmacist, and Harley who is a successful business man. Judith and Brice have known each other since high school, but after so many years of being together their relationship had no excitement and they would constantly do the same things without any interest. Judith completes her graduate work in psychotherapy and she often becomes upset because she is not where she wants to be. Her goal is to eventually become a marriage counselor. Judith began to work with a matchmaking company for millionaires. This is where she meets Harley, who quickly becomes attracted to her. Harley starts to give her that attention that she is not getting from her husband at home. Judith is tempted and quickly surrenders to Harley, which puts her and her marriage in jeopardy.

The movie Mean Girls shows many of the psychological themes that have been discussed throughout the course. Two prominent themes within the movie are bullying and cliques. Bullying is described by the book as being “verbal or physical behavior intended to disturb someone less powerful” (Santrock, 2016, p. 351). Bullying is extremely prominent in schools, which is the setting of the movie, with one in three students claiming that they have experienced bullying at some point whether as the victim or the bully (Santrock, 2016, p. 351). In the movie, bullying is a prominent plot point with most of the background characters stating that they, at some point, had been bullied by Regina George.
Throughout the film Birnam’s addiction leads him to sacrifice himself as well as others in an attempt to satisfy his unquenchable thirst for alcohol. The style of this film helps present the subject with
He portrays how the criterion of penetration as a distinction between masturbation and sexual acts fails the rational analysis. Other modified definitions of masturbation also run into trouble. He finally concludes, after giving many modifications of the original common sense definition of masturbation, that in truth most of our sexual acts are in essence masturbatory. He disagrees with some other philosophers like Goldman who think that masturbation is not even a sexual activity. He also illustrates that the claim that masturbation is sexual perversion is logically not sound.
