Introduction
Tequisquiapan is a city located in the Queretaro state which is situated in the central region of Mexico. In that city, my geography class investigated whether the centre area of Tequisquiapan corresponds to the general characteristics of CBD or not by hypothesizing that the central region of the city has the greatest number of pedestrian, the land value

As shown in the picture of Mexico City, there are many commercial building and offices but not any resident-purpose buildings. So, in the CBD area, the more number of shops will be clustered than the number of residential areas. Since Google map provided the map scale, I decided to refer to the scale from the Google map rather than measure the distance by my own for more accuracy. After, I used the nearest neighbor analysis to determine whether the commercial features was clustered or not; I used same method to determine the concentration of residential area. From the investigation, I expected to see the value near to 0.0 which indicates 'clustered' according to the index of the nearest neighbor formula because it indicates that the CBD of Tequisquiapan does contain characteristic of the …show more content…
Therefore the actual total area of the map is 87500m^2
Since I got all variables that I need for the formula, I can apply those values to the formula which is,
R=2×15.4 √50/87500
R≈0.0025
So, as R is 0.0025 which is quite close to 0 which means commercial buildings are clustered in the CBD area of Tequisquiapan, I can conclude from the result that the CBD area of Tequisquiapan is dominated by commercial feature which is one of the general characteristics of the CBD. To finish, the CBD area of Tequisquiapan does conform to the general characteristics of CBD because the CBD meets every hypothesis I made in the introduction.
Line 3: Which row from the table of highlighted data will the answer come from? In this example 2 rows in the table were highlighted. The first row is the list of Marks; the second row is the list of Grades. Therefore the answer will come from row 2. (REMEMBER – IGNORE THE ROW NUMBERS GIVEN IN THE WORKSHEET – ONLY LOOK AT THE TABLE OF GRADES TO FIND OUT WHICH ROW WILL GIVE YOU THE ANSWER)
The business I am proposing is a hotel business on the island of Guam. A hotel is a place where people stay to relax or to stay for a vacation. My hotel business is for the people who are coming to visit Guam or locals who don’t want to stay home. My business will be located in the northern half of Guam, where it is surrounded by cities, tourists sites, roads and beaches. Guam would be a perfect location for a hotel business because, Guam has a lot of modernized buildings and hotels are common for the people in Guam, who live a modern lifestyle, so having a hotel business in this island would work.
Ecological and Social Disorganization Theory 's idea is that a city is separated into circles, or zones, radiating out from the center. The center of the city is the central business district and as you move outward from there, the less problems or crime is found. The first zone, as I mentioned, is the central business district which is where businesses and factories are found but few people actually live. The next zone is the zone of
There was a clear lesson here: immigration regulation is a matter for the federal government. Any attempt to regulate immigration laws where Congress had already regulated it even interrelated efforts, are unconstitutional. In later cases, the Court made it distinct that there is opportunity for state and local participation in the regulation of the lives of immigrants, although not inevitably in the regulation and enforcement of laws governing the movement of immigration itself. In the case of DeCanas v. Bica (1976), the question that the Court was given was whether a California law that established sanctions on business owners who hired non-citizens unofficial to work in the United States violate on federal immigration powers. The Court disapproved
In the “Marijuana: A Continuing Concern for Pediatricians” article the author points out the fact that marijuana is in fact “an addictive, mind-altering drug capable of inducing dependency” (Marijuana: A Continuing Concern). After some research this statement has been clearly supported. According to the author of “Marijuana: Breaking Down the Buzz” being under the influence of the drug has led to very poor decisions. Some of the poor decisions teenagers make while being under the influence include; people not completing high school, having failing grades if they are still in school, and doing reckless things while behind the wheel of a vehicle.
In the documentary “The ten Town That Changed America” Geoffrey Baer illustrates the evolution of ten popular cities of the 21st century America. Done in chronological order, the documentary explores how these US cities were developed by visionary citizens who combined, urban planning, design, and architecture to change the way people lived. According to the documentary, these planners had passion and great insights for urban development, although driven by different inspirations and motivations. But one thing was central to these people: to build an environment that would change the way people live in America.
The landscape, trams, and distinctive wooden mansions give the city a unique charm. San Francisco is an outstanding representative of the physical geography. The essay aims to investigate the history of the region, the general features of four spheres of physical geography in San Francisco, and forms the possible representation of the future of the area. History
Back in the early twentieth century, marijuana was mainly used for medical purposes in the US. Now, both it 's recreational and medical use is increasingly being consumed by the population and the tendency is to continue increasing. Much has been said about the use of marijuana as a solution to different health problems, and although not everything that is said is true, it cannot be ignored that marijuana can help in the treatment of some cases of adult patients. CNN’s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, was opposed to the medicinal use of cannabis. Based on his knowledge as a neurologist, he was convinced that the drug was dangerous and had dismissed its supposed therapeutic benefits.
We as a country have been dealing with many social issues since the beginning when this land was founded. We have overcome many of them, but there is still that mentality that many people have, which is we are not all equal and that not all of us deserve to live here. There are some things that society has imposed on our lives that can’t be shaken off entirely. Planners look into all of these issues when thinking of how to help cities flourish. Urban poverty is usually found in the inner city which is called the zone of transition, which is just outside of the CBD.

Introduction As the world’s population continues to migrate and live in urban areas, planners, engineers, and politicians have an important role to ensure that they are livable and sustainable. But what defines an urban area and what makes it so attractive? In my opinion, urban areas are places that consist of a variety of land uses and buildings, where services and amenities are easily accessible to the general public, and includes an established multimodal transportation network. Also, it should be a place where people can play, learn, work, and grow in a safe and collaborative manner.

Data and Analysis My main focuses were on the types of people walking about (e.g. I observed homeless people walking with shopping carts), the amount of maintenance (trash piling where trash cans should be), and the surrounding structures. This allowed me to see a general demographic of people and the present economic class . From my observations, the streets are not well-cared for, having uneven pavement and depressions. Graffiti is also a prominent feature and is all over buildings, ATM machines, signposts, parking meters--almost any available flat surface.
Geographic segmentation calls for dividing the market into different geographical units such as regions, cities, or neighborhood. Coca-Cola has a countrywide network of product distribution but the company segments more in urban and suburban areas as compared to rural areas. 1.2. Demographic segmentation In demographic segmentation, the market is divided into groups on the basis of variables such as age, family life cycle, gender, income, occupation, education, religion, race, generation, nationality, and social class. Demographic variables are the most popular base of Coca-Cola Company for distinguishing their customer groups.
