As an individual who subscribes to a humble ideology, I romanticize the concept of the "unsung hero". Much like his idol, Terry Fox, Steve Fonyo was amputee, loosing his left leg to cancer. At this point, you are probably unaware of the hero I am referring to. Because of an unfortunate turn of events and poor choices in regards to his life, it may not be surprising. In fact, many Canadians have, however unfortunate, turned a blind eye upon him, leading to his absence from text books in Canadian history classes. Terry Fox, the idol of whom Steve was fond of, rose and fell in his venture into the history section of libraries much before Fonyo considered his own emulation. After the death of Fox, Canada was the center of the global media.
