Spending time with family and friends is really important to me. Unlike Scrooge, I care for my loved ones. In A Christmas Carol, Scrooge views himself going to a Christmas party hosted by his old boss, Mr. Fezziwig. “In they all came, one after another; some shyly, some boldly, some gracefully, some awkwardly, some pushing, some pulling; in they all came, anyhow and everyhow” (Dickens 41).
Thanksgiving means to me that when the family gets together to eat and have conversations. We usually watch the Dallas Cowboys play. Most of time there is an abundant amount of food. We either go to more than one house or we switch houses every year. I think that Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time to get together and share what you have done over the year and eat a bunch of food.
The day before Thanksgiving I woke up the day before Thanksgiving wondering how we were going to get all the food done. I wanted this Thanksgiving to be the best Thanksgiving our family has ever had. I got up, went upstairs and my Grandpa was already cooking and my grandma was already cleaning, so I decided to just jump right in. At the end of the day, some of the food was already done, and some of it had a lot to go, but we all knew we had tomorrow too. "
This past week was Thanksgiving of 2016. My family hosts Thanksgiving every year and whoever is able to come that year is more than welcome. This year, we had a lot of people come over including significant others. Everyone arrived at my house approximately two o’clock. I always say the more people the better.
I received the top video game on my list. I obtained Call of Duty World War II, I also got some socks and shirts, and some other gifts too. This year was probably the first year that I didn’t get a monstrous gift. I loved my Christmas, and spending time with my family. I love Christmas, and I love christmas break.
Every Christmas my family and I drive to Gatlinburg Tennessee. Every Christmas Eve, we have a family talent show. The laugher and silliness is something that you will never forget. Not only is it during my favorite time of the year, but most of all I enjoy the special feeling of having all of my family together. We take advantage of the time we have together because it will not last
For the most part, the individuals in my family are on top of our rituals. Every year between Black Friday and Christmas time my family and I go to different malls to seek out all of the great discounts. The holidays always have a unique spot in our hearts because we know this is the time of year we can be able to be all together and enjoy the special days together. There are certain ways families celebrate their own rituals and the way that my family and I highlight every holiday (Galvin 119). Lately, this ritual has been slowly dying, but I hope we can have this interest in the future when I have a family on my
Every Thanksgiving, my immediate family and I go down to Chicago to spend the holiday with more family. We spend Thanksgiving, like everyone else, with football and eating. In addition to this, we play many games including cards, board games or throwing a football. One year, when I was young, members of my
Let me tell you a little bit about them. I live with my dad, my mom, my sister, and my two goofy brothers. My dad is a great dad. Every Christmas, we watch our favorite our favorite Christmas cartoons. Whenever I say mom I mean my step mom, but she is the only mother figure I have known.
The annual Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) initiation brunch is one of the most exciting events to take place every year. It took place on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia and it was nice to see familiar faces, while meeting the new members of the organization. Guest enjoyed some omelets, prime rib, and pancakes, while Dr. William Haddad gave a powerful talk entitled “An Ode to Secular Tyrants: Reflections on the History of the Modern Middle East.” After the keynote, address came the initiation ceremony that included the traditional reading of the “Six Ages” of History. Thirty-six new members joined the ranks of Phi Alpha Theta and became apart of something much bigger-
We consider ourselves as a typical family. Our immediate family is comprised of me, my husband, son and mother. Wyman and Sallie are retired military who are employed by the Department of the Army at Fort Riley. We enjoy quality time as a family unit, we ride to work together three days a week, attend church as a family and celebrate holidays by hosting cookouts at our home. Wyman and Semadre attend the local high school football games and enjoys their ride to and from his school daily.

Thanksgiving is the day where you should stop and think about all the little things in life. Not many people have or know the meaning of family. I make sure the time I do get to spend with my family, I don’t take it for granted. Most of my family live in Louisiana, so getting to see all of my family on that one day is a genuine blessing. My best family reunion would be on thanksgiving, because it’s the best time to spend time with my family, eat great food, and watch the macy’s parade.
Every Thanksgiving my family gets together. When we are together, we always take time out to remember my great-grandmother and my grandmother, Meme and Liz. This year my family gathered at my auntie and uncle’s home. My aunt called all the family members that were coming because she needed to tell them what to bring. When we got there, we sat and watched the football game until the food was finished.
