The NFL started in 1920, when the league originated as the American Professional Football Association. The NFL was the first professional football league to effectively start a national existence, after numerous periods of unsuccessful tries. League membership slowly evened out between the 1920s-1930s as the league took on a more official organization. Many changes came about following the war, such as the resigning of African-American players.

The Constitutional Convention was a gathering between delegates from different states to edit the Articles of Confederation in the year of 1787. Among many of those that attended the Constitution Conventional, George Wythe, delegate of Philadelphia, was one of the ones to show interest of modifying the Articles of Confederation. The reasoning for Wythe for not playing such a major role in the history making event because, he left the proceedings early to go home. At the time Wythe was married and his wife was sick at the time of the Convention. Wythe felt that he wife was more important and he would rather attend to her.

The United States in the early 1920’s, had different movements in the areas of politics, economics, society, culture, and foreign policy. The 1920s began shortly after World War I. The United States and the Allies defeated the Germans. President Harding died in the middle of his presidency and Vice President Calvin Coolidge took his place. He conveyed the virtues of morality, honesty, and economy to the presidency address.

The original 13 colonies of the United States were formed in 1732. Each of these had local governments and their populations grew quickly throughout the mid-1700s. However during this time tensions between the American colonies and the British government began to arise as the American colonists were subject to British taxation but had no representation in the British Parliament.

The Great Depression was a time of little hope and small dreams. Much of what happened forced young children out of their world out of their world into the adult world. I’ve also had to step up into the vast realm of the adult world. During the Great Depression many kids had to step up and begin acting like adults.

Doing research on adolescents in this time period makes it feel like they had their own little world. These young people basically wanted to rebel. That was their goal. So yes, it is correct to say that adolescents are rebellious. I talked about this throughout my paper; but, adolescents participate in rebellious, risk-taking behavior as a part of their development.

Between World War I and the Great Depression, the 1920’s were unique and special years in American history. The best way to represent that time would be by historian Frederick Lewis Allen providing the historical account of America in the 20’s in Only Yesterday and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s famed novel, The Great Gatsby. Both of them reflect America in the Twenties by showing lifestyles and behaviors of people who lived in that time. We can follow their beliefs, actions, and morality through the works. While Allen was seeking to capture a decade, F. Scott Fitzgerald did a good job by pointing to the main issues during that time.

But some scholars also claim that “Globalization” is a new trend which technically emerged only in modern times or during the 20th century. However, the fact is that “Globalization” took place as a process of mobilization of human capital, travel, cultural exchange, free trade and modernization. Over the years the trend of globalization has seen some basic changes, which is the topic of this essay. This essay is about the difference between the trend of globalization in 20th century and 21st century. The trend of globalization in 20th century and 21st century differs in the following way:

PEER PRESSURE Peer pressure, a term that may or may not have affected you when you were a teenager but as a teenager myself, peer pressure has definitely made an impact on my life, be it good and bad. In the age of 10 to 19, teenagers tend to have the most difficult times. Teenagers feel peer pressure everyday in their lives, whether it’s in school or outside. During the teenage period, teens try to find their identity and differentiate from their parents by joining peer groups and sometimes these peer groups may offer bad advices and negative choices to teens.

Under this situation, generation gap even cultural conflict is inevitable. When children have estrangement with their parents, their closest people will not be their parents. But parents are the people who give first-generationers life. They made efforts and suffered a hard time to build a bright future for their children. Therefore, what first-generationers should do is not avoiding the question and estranging their parents, but finding the problems and figuring it out.

If you ask an American what it was like in the 1920’s I am sure you would get a completely different answer than if you asked an Immigrant. In School we are taught about the “Jazz Age.” We talk about the jazz music, movies, and flappers, but what people don't realize, is that there are two different ways people lived and acted during this time period. The “New Immigrants” who came from foreign countries such as Poland, Romania, and Italy did not have the same experiences as the Americans. These immigrants were treated differently because they spoke differently and had different religions and customs.

Weapons of World War I World War I, ‘The Great War.’ Over 60 million men fought in the war to end all wars, it ended nothing. The conditions and state the battlefields were left were indescribable, all because of the newly introduced weapons and weapon systems.

The 1920’s were a major step backwards for many reasons, including what I believe, to be the most important issue which was racism. After WWI, many people began to feel frightened about foreigners, “Immigrants were also despised due to the postwar flood of available workers and the dwindling of available positions.” (From Lecture) A strong hatred was directed towards African Americans who began migrating to more urban areas during WWI due to available job positions, especially by the renown organization the Ku Klux Klan who, “…did it’s part to take social justice into their own hands and discriminate against immigrants, African Americans, and numerous other “undesirables”.” The KKK would savagely hunt, perform “surgery below the belt”, and

Fighting in World War I was one of the most brutal wars ever known. This was because of the new technology advancements during this time. The way wars were fought changed significantly. In my opinion, the variety of changes have a negative influence. The negative influences continue to impact our world to this day.
