We distributed the questionnaire equally to 5 men and 5 women. In this survey we concerned about the use of computer and email in English language learning by distinguishing the gender and perception of the respondents towards the advantages and disadvantages in English language learning. Both the women and men respondents are language learners and specifically university students in ages around 19 – 23 years old.
As the background of this interview data, one respondent was excellent in typing and have good knowledge about computer. Then, 4 respondents have good knowledge and ability. Whereas, the rest 5 respondents were fair. However, both female and male respondents have the computer at their home. Therefore, we conclude the result of this survey is valid because all the respondents have the media observed and the ability in using the media. In addition, we also provided some references that we used related to the discussion about using e-mail and computer as the learning media.
Above all, the report generalized the advantages of computer learning media and the influences for the learners. Computer has now become an influential component of second language learning pedagogy. Educators recognize that utilizing computer technology and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) programs can be convenient to create both independent and collaborative learning environments and provide students with language experiences as they move through the various stages of second
