Digitization is the process of converting analog signals or information of any form into a digital format that can be understood by computer systems or electronic devices. The term is used when converting information, like text, images or voices and sounds, into binary code. Digitized information is easier to store, access and transmit, and digitization is used by a number of consumer electronic devices.

Government can analyze various data collected from its citizens using Artificial intelligence technology. this is highly effective and requires low man power government can crunch data related to bank transaction to flag people who perform large quantities of financial transactions and this list in turn can be used by income tax officials to check tax history of the relevant persons.

DISADVANTAGES OF DIGITIZATION
The Indian experience of using ICTs (Information & communication technology) in governance for the past 15 years is not something that we can be proud of — amongst 193 countries, India ranks 118 on the e-Government Development Index as per the United Nations e-Government Survey 2014.

There is lack of digital literacy in India.
