During my time at CI I would like to be involved in school by joining extracurricular activities, organizations and clubs. In hopes that I will meet a lot of new people and gain skills that I can’t gain in a classroom setting. Although my main goal is to graduate in four years with my Bachelors of Science Degree. As well as maintaining good grades throughout all four years. I’m unsure of what career I want to pursue so I want to be able to maintain high grades so that I can have more options available to me.

Goals were introduced to me in the eighth grade, and ever since I have created an immense amount of goals that I have achieved or plan to achieve in the near future. Not everyone is a fan of writing, it’s true. Most of us may not have been born to be the next J. K. Rowling, but writing is still an essential skill to work and improve on while in high school. Strong written expression will help students do well in university or college or will help you find a career out of high school. Also, writing good writing skills in high school will help a student to get better grades to get into an excellent college or universities. High school teachers evaluate writing on five main points: vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, logic and the combination of ideas.
Business involves analysing every detail using logic and objective reasoning in making a competent decision. With the progression of technology leading into the future, both the theoretical and practical aspects of IT and business are combined, which makes it extremely appealing to me, as both are so closely integrated. My analytical and problem-solving nature stems from my study of A-level Mathematics, where complicated equations must be assessed and logical steps are needed to be taken to solve problems statistically. I believe my study of Math’s is extremely important in business as it can be used to give an understanding of how to interpret and use financial data. My goals as a UCM student are to achieve a greater knowledge of business and to prepare myself for life outside of school. Currently I am a high school senior at Skyline in Urbana, Missouri. In my senior I am taking Pre-Calculus, Business Management/Leadership, Business Tech, and Computer Applications to try and further my knowledge of business and computers so I may have a better understand these subjects before i get into college. Starting this year I have become involved in FBLA and will be competing in contests. I am currently the captain of the Scholar 's Bowl team for my high school.
I have gained knowledge because I enrolling in higher level classes such as honors and AP classes. They changed me by having a better understanding of how college is going to be like for me in the future. Some honors and AP classes I have taken are: Geography, computer science, Spanish, pre-calculus, anatomy, U.S history, statistics, and government. All the preparation of my classes, teachers, and the programs I have participated in have helped me to know that I can go to college and if I try I know can be successful. Junior High is a huge start in your teen and adult life because this springs you up for high school, college, and the rest of your life. Jr. High launches you off an a path of success or failure, but you have to be willing to fail. In junior high you have the choice to become a leader or a follower and this influences the rest of your life. There are many further exams designed for specific fields of study and careers which can be prepared for by getting expert help from a tutor before sitting the exam. Students that want to enroll in upper level educational studies will want to achieve the highest scores possible in these tests making it a great investment to do through preparation beforehand. This is the best way to decrease student apprehension that in turn results in getting higher scores. The exams are open seven times a year giving adequate time to prepare for the semester test a student wishes to sit. Class rank can motivate students do their best, be rewarding, enhances positive competition in the learning environment, and puts students’ grade point average in context. Also, the class ranking system allows the student to be more aware of their achievements. Class rank is rewarding for those who work hard and put a great amount of hard work into their school work. The people at the top of the class worked hard their four years of high school and should be recognized for their hard work. Class rank can drive students to take AP classes.
The classes that were offered helped prepare me for my upcoming school years. I learned to not be afraid to find resources that can help me become successful. For example, when I am stuck on a math assignment in class, I will ask tutors or a teachers for help. Upward Bound has provided me with so many college opportunities.
In order to be successful in college students should to choose a career they are passionate about, get to class on time, and study. Finding a career that someone is passionate about can be tough. Although it can come easy to a lot people. Some people know exactly what career they want when graduating from high school. Lynn F. Jacobs and Jeremy S. Hyman said to make sure when choosing a major take all the general education such as math, reading, and science.
