Oscar Wilde was a wise Irish author that had many truthful words. He claimed that disobedience is a valuable human trait and that it promotes social progress. Some say that what Wilde said is not true however, there is many reasons why his words are honorable. Disobedience is a valuable human trait. If it weren’t for sticking up for what you believe the world may be a lot different at this time. For example, the American Revolution started out of widespread disobedience and rejection because the set of rules that was made. Going against what others believe is a valuable trait. This disobedience led to New Democratic nations that continued to sky rocket for many years. Not only is it a valuable human trait, it also promotes social pregrss.
