To be loved and romance gives happiness, longevity and satisfies the positive long-term social relationships (Hefner, 2011).
Movies are one of the most powerful medium today. One word may affect one’s decision or belief in life. In fact, movies may shape a person’s point of view in a certain thing especially teenagers. The adolescent stage is the most delicate stage of a person. Teenagers are still doubtful, curious and still experimenting on complicated things like problems in school, family or relationships.
"I love you. You complete me “(Maguire, 1996) ,”And maybe it 'll be enough if you know that in the few hours we had together we loved a lifetime 's worth” (“Terminator”, 1984) and, “It was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home only to no home I’d ever known I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like magic”(“Sleepless in Seattle“, 1993), these are some lines from famous romantic movies. These are words that would make viewers shudder. These are words that someone wants to hear from a “special someone”.

Sometimes, teenagers based their decisions to what they have watched on romantic films. With this, they learn principles about love that they often use to have a harmonious relationship with someone. Teenagers tend to compare their love story to the romantic films they have watched. The romantic scenes depicted in movies gives the audience the idea of what kind of relationship they should have in the future. Also, these romantic films become their inspiration with regard of having a romantic relationship. Because of the romantic films teenagers watch, they were given the opportunity to learn the principles of loving. However, teenagers should realize that those romantic films they watch are often unrealistic and they should separate their fantasies about love to
