Mother Nature inspires artists and poets; it is a rich source of inspiration for those who look closely. But, lately it begins to inspire scientists and engineers too. Recently, scientists have been contemplating the beauty of nature and its creatures from the biggest trees to the smallest insects. They came with new inventions and designs that imitate nature and have both its beauty and complexity. Furthermore, these inventions make every part of our daily life much easier and comfortable. Biomimicry is the science of imitating nature and its creatures and applying it in new inventions. Biomimicry has a lot of benefits and numerous applications in every field; it has applications in industry, architecture and transportation. A new era began and new innovation has been brought to the field of industry."I think the biggest innovation in the 21st century will be the intersection of biology and technology."
