Introduction

Hydroponics (From the Greek words hydro, water and ponos, labor) is a way of growing plants using mineral nutrition without using any soil. It’s usually asked what type of products can be grown through Hydroponics? Well there are leafy vegetables such as Spinach, Lettuce, Cabbage, Mustard, Cauliflower, some herbs etc. These products can be grown indoor under artificial light. Then there are bush type plants and among them are Tomatoes, Brinjal, Beans, Corn, some herbs and flowering plants. In Hydroponics, all you need is a cup as 8 ounces to grow one plant.
Hydroponics is now the most widely used glasshouse crop production method in Scotland and it has the fastest growth of any hydroponic technique in the U.K., USA and entire Europe. It is currently the subject of worldwide use, particularly in arid zone regions such as GCC.
Advantages of Hydroponics:-
1. Plants can be grown anywhere:

With hydroponics, plants can be grown anywhere where no soil exists and light is available. It saves money on transport and the benefit of having fresh produce offset the high cost of city land. Therefore, hydroponics farming can be viable irrespective of the value of land.

2. Better control over plant growth:

A soil system is difficult to keep in control due to the complex chemical and biological nature of the soil. Plants nutrients are frequently not available to plants due to poor soil structure or unfavorable soil pH value. Plants growing in soil are also frequent
