My Feelings About The Bible
During this winter vacation,I have read The Bible.Before I read it,I knew a little about it,sometimes maybe confused.Fortunately,the moment I finish reading it,I finally know everything about it.Although I know it is just a mythology,it seems that all the things had really happened before.It is a great possibility that makes me trust what it said.
Certainly,the Bible is the soul of Christianity.Ii is a fantastic bridge for us to understand western culture.As Far as I know,it has been translated into more than 1800languages.Although it was written 2000years ago,many people read it today.Such as many leaders of many countries,famous athletes even scientists read it today.And many people treat it as their life criteria.It consists of the old testament and the new testament.
At the beginning of the Bible ,God creat the world in seven days .Befor God does it ,the world was empty ,darkness was everywhere .So ,God has a plan .The first day ,God separated the light from the darkness ,so, there were day and night .The second day ,he separated the waters in the clouds above from the waters in the ocean below .And the space was called sky .The third day ,God rolled back the waters and some dry ground appeared .He made mountains ,hills and valleys .The fourth day ,God put a shining sun in the sky for day time .He put a glowing moon and twinkling star in the sky for night time .The fifth day,God made swishy fish and squiggly creatures to live in the
1. In the beginning, when Jesus created the heaven and the earth, 2. The earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters (Genesis 1: 1-2). Then God said “Let there be light, and the light was there, and God called light “day” and darkness “night”.
The second day God separated water into the sea and the sky. The third day God created land and plants. On the fourth day God created the sun and moon, along with the stars. On the fifth day, the Lord created fish and birds. On the sixth day, God created animals and humans.
It is an amazing text to the modern air even those who absorbed
“In the years that followed the girl and the grizzly bear had many children.” One creator created the earth: The women used dirt lodged in her fingernails and sand from the bottom of the sea as the first soil to be part of earth (40). “Before there were people, [there was] the Chief of the Sky Spirits... [who] broke of an end of his giant stick and the small pieces became fish.” “In the beginning there was absolutely nothing, and what existed was covered by death and hunger.
Frederic Guirma starts out the myth by saying, “In the beginning there was no earth, no day or night, and not even time itself,” which proves that it is a creation myth (Guirma 1). The myth explains what happens after there was absolutely nothing on earth or in the universe. The myth also explains why there is lava at the bottom of volcanoes. It combines the beginning of volcanoes with the beginning of lepers. A clear indication that a myth serves a cosmological function is when it gives a vivid, clear, and explicit imagery of how something came to be.
Freedom of poverty and individual rights ultimately what Mexican-American cultures strive to obtain in earlier times, according to Viramontes. Although this contains accuracy to an extent, today’s Hispanic American culture fight against stereotypes and hidden oppression of full individual rights. Remedification of potential and hard work is dismissed in this novel, due to Mexican-American’s job status and minimal education. This oppression often leaves Mexican-Americans to keep living in this lifestyle, obvlious to keep working and hopefully achieve grounds to move out of poverty. In the novel, Under the Feet of Jesus, Helena Maria Viramontes emphasizes the physical labor Estrella and her family go through, and how this work reshapes their
A Great Buzzard was sent to see if the land was ready. As he flew across the land he created valleys and mountains. As he flew he continued to change the landscape of the earth. Once the earth was dry the animals came to live on the land. The first sun was to close and was replaced and put farther way until it was just right.
Our worldview is the lens that we make sense of life and should be intentional as we adopt a philosophy of life that is informed by something greater than ourselves as Christ should be our example, according to 1 Peter 2:21 “for [as a believer] you have been called for this purpose, since Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you may follow in His footsteps” (Amplified Version). For this reason, our moral compass when based on a biblical worldview should influence how we approach making decisions as it pertains to business ethics (Porter,2013). To what extent do your personal religious (or non-religious) beliefs about life impact your sense of business ethics and personal decision-making? Every decision that I reach
When both gods imagined “Earth” land formed from the darkness. They thought of trees, plants, mountains and valleys, water and sky. All of which appeared from the darkness. Thus Earth was formed.
Then he separated night and day and created the stars. One of the main differences between the stories is what they respect. In the
Benchmark Assignment: Gospel Essentials “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1: l, New International Version). This is where it all began. God’s perfect Creation included night and day, sky and land and sea, the moon and the stars, all the birds and fish and animals, and humankind. Man quickly messed it up and the Fall hit hard. No more was humanity right with God.
It is fascinating how the human mind can come up with many ideas of the birth of the world. In the story of The World on a Turtle’s Back there is mention that in the beginning there was no world, or land; but there was a great ocean and above it a great void of air. That void of air was the Sky World where the story commences. Then there is The Four Creations and The Tohono O'odham Creation Story. All three of these have their similarities and the differences on how the world was built.
When God created the earth he began with the separation of light and darkness;
The Bible describes it; ‘….the earth was without form and void… and darkness was upon the face of the deep’ (NKJVGenesis 1:2) and a similar claim is made in Hesiod’s Theogony which alleges that in the beginning there was only confusion of Chaos and unbroken darkness.
The creation of the world is something that a lot of us don’t know about. In science tell us that the world born the Big Bang of dark energy. In the Bible and the Greek mythology tell us that the God is creator of it. The world’s creation of the Bible and the Greek mythology have a lot of things in similarities and a lot of things that are different.
