If only I weren’t so poor at English. (= If only I wasn’t ...) (iv) after would rather and would sooner when we talk about preferences: Examples: I feel terrible about what happened and would rather the event were forgotten. (= …was forgotten.) I’ve agreed to an interview for next week, I’d sooner it were earlier, if possible. Hope you are doing well. I have been quite busy lately. Tomorrow is the last day of instruction and I have one final this week. Two more finals next week and I will be done for the semester. I still have to finish two projects before the final so these two weeks are going to be very busy.
A notable point of irony is when Francie is accidently placed in a creative writing class instead of her chosen class, Birdwatching 101. Normally, when an error such as that occurs, a person would want it fixed as soon as possible, but not for Francie, as Moore writes “The lines at the registrar this week are huge. Perhaps you should stick with this mistake. Perhaps your creative writing is not all that bad. Perhaps it is fate” (463).
Winning by Losing Memo Canales “Mom!” I said, “Can I please NOT go on the bus today? Its the day of my big speech and I spent so much time getting ready!” Sadly, the answer was no. The speech I was going to present was a speech on family and how it is essential for the human being. Ironically, the night before the speech, my parents had been fighting, hard. It had never gotten that bad before.
Karady’s Exhibition of pictures I take it as that went through war never the same again and you can 't just hop right back into normal culture it takes time to adjust it might be days month even years before your integrated back into society and I 'm going to understand that I heard this from killing someone to going back to college and learning that you can 't do that it takes a lot of time. I believe to get as good of portraits as she did you take a lot of times to get to know you person that you are taking a picture of can 't just meeting that day and take a picture of them it would take a few interviews to get to
Then in an instant, the sight of mortification and loss of dignity turns to hatred and disbelief. I have predicted the ending of Whit and Whisy’s journey, questioned the fate of their parents, and visualized an extremely important scene from the novel. Running for your life can be hard and by the looks of it, Whit and Wisty sure are struggling; but as long as one is tenacious and stick together, one can overcome anything. I feel as if I should receive a 9/10 on this journal because it is been a year since my last English paper. I feel aspects of this journal are sloppy, but I will improve as they quarter
Kelley I learned one of the saddest lessons you could learn in a matter of minutes. I learned that life can end much quicker than expected. When your best friend attempts suicide, and she is hundreds of miles away, you realize that you cannot take life for granted. I could not even be there for her. There were some things that are impossible to stop, no matter how hard you try.
Ive been late twice to my clinical 's and it has been more than 15 minutes which is considered an absent. Two absences automatically reduces 10% of my grade. I understand that i can 't continue to do this specially once I 'm a professional. I can really put my team behind and being short staff can lead to falls or injuries to a patient. Ive let my instructor know that i was going to be late but there shouldn 't be any excuses.
This is why I think child beauty pageants should be banned because they get sexualised and also their confidence/self-esteem will be lowered at such a young age. People are convinced that the contestants only turn up on the day and prepare on the day. However, this is not the case, because the contestants go to extreme lengths to win so they will prepare all year, this shows the pageants are being drummed into their brains 24/7. A two day rehearsal then takes place before the show to ensure that everything can go without a glitch. This is basically the theft of childhood, there is plenty of time as an adult to face this pressure without competing and failing at such a tender age.
Two of the latest function and upgrades that we paid for that we also pay yearly licensing and update fees, we have not still utilized the functions because of the incompatibility of our server. This software was a 10 to 15 years investment for the company; unfortunately, everyone hates this system and is frustrated for not doing the job effectively. Our organization is dealing with difficult situation where it is too late to go back to the old functional system and it is very expensive to move forward with full functionality. We are currently manage the issue by paying for enhancement for things that we must have and using alternative system for the ones we
For a decade, money seemed limitless and people believed the boom would never end, causing the excessive spending of money that led up to the devastating economic collapse of the nineteen thirties. Cassandra Clare summarized the problem with excess when she said: “Too much of anything could destroy you. […] Too much darkness could kill, but too much light could blind.” Taking too much of water will wash away the salts the body. Acquiring too much knowledge at an early age will rob you of your innocence and youth and of your ability to enjoy the little things. Too much of love and affection may work against you one day or even the one you love.
