For part 4 of my IB course, I have studied the usage of literary devices and what the effects of literary devices are. During class, we have analysed different stories of Angela Carter together. I will rewrite a part of the Bloody Chamber and place this episode into a different setting which will create a different tone and mood. I have written an alternative ending of The Bloody Chamber and made it into a romantic story. I have used feminist and magical aspects to write in a way Angela Carter did. I did this by bringing a feminist element into the story because the girl saves her husband from the evil witch. I have also used literary devices to show my understanding and knowledge of the way how literary devices are used in literary works. …show more content…

She wore dark clothes, dark boots and had red lips like the colour of the devil. She said no word and came towards me. She looked at me from top to toe and I felt very vulnerable. But then – she started speaking. She told me that my husband killed this beautiful dead woman on purpose. I did not know if I should believe her. Nevertheless, I do not know what kind of person my husband is and what his history is. She said to me that my husband was not in love with me, but with her. I did not know whom to believe. She gets angry and starts yelling at my husband that she will kill me again – again. She grabs my husband and wants to throw him on the ground, but I take the key to the secret chamber and I stab her in her eye and her head bumps against the wall and I throw her on the
