There are certain reasons why criticism is essential for us. Firstly, criticism is one of communication way. Receiving critics in design industry from someone means we have chance to learn more about audience who consume our product or creation. Aside from learning our customer, feedback is also useful to strengthen our product (Thomas, 2012). Sometimes, critics may be uncomfortable to listen but it is beneficial to improve the quality of our creation. Indeed, critics nowadays are delivered either straightforward or sarcastically. As graphic designer is able to declare message through their creation, graphic designer owns a social cognizance - to partake in the excogitation of world improvement. In fact no matter how different is culture, language, origin or ethnic of a person, using picture is a suitable way to convey the message because it makes sense to everyone. For example, visual communication can be applied when we are trying to market our product or service for target audiences which are originated from various countries and communicate using different language. So, the message can be understood by people from different places and culture (Switzer,2015).
Not only flexibility but also, simplicity is one of the advantages of visual communication as our message will be recognized quickly and easily. For instance: it will be much simpler if a direction is in visual form rather than in written form.
Last but not least, immediacy benefits for those who tries to communicate intricate data including statistical information, it can be represented by a graph or chart to illustrate the progress of sales for a product. As can be seen, those general trivial problems and wishes which are written sarcastically, is printed on the packaging itself. For instance: problem in punctuality (Fig. 7) or difficulty in searching goal of life (Fig. 8). Moreover, the aim of marketing the pill is to raise fund for those people who cannot afford HIV medication. Yet, those pills are purely placebo since they are made of peppermints.
