Pets
Pets are good to have. Pets are good to have because they can teach children valuable lessons. Pets can teach things like, how to be responsible. Being responsible is a very valuable skill to have in this world of ours. No one is going to give a person a good job if they are not responsible. Pets can also teach people to be patient. It is impossible to train a pet if that person is impatient. A guinea pig is a good example of this kind of pet. I have a guinea pig and I have to be very responsible and patient to get him to do something. I have to be patient with him when he doesn’t want to come out. I have to be responsible and clean his cage every time without being told. I think this is why guinea pigs are an interesting pet.
One reason I think guinea pigs are an interesting pet is because of their features. They have many weird

Guinea pig’s bodies do not produce Vitamin C so they need to get a lot of it from some other source. I would feed my guinea pig lettuce or carrots a lot because they have some Vitamin C in them. Oranges have the most though, at about fifty-one milligrams of Vitamin C in one. Guinea pigs generally like fruits and veggies. Though those food groups are the only food groups they can eat. Even though guinea pigs may try to eat meats and starches, like bacon and potatoes, they cannot. If they do eat them, that guinea pig might get poisoned. Guinea pigs have many interesting features. There is no other pet I would choose to have then a guinea pig. When guinea pigs are happy or annoyed, they make a squeaking sound called a wheak. Guinea pig cages can be laid out many different ways. And what a guinea pig needs to survive is not very much. Pets in general are good to have. Pets can teach people valuable lessons. If you have a pet you know the feeling of learning new things and having it love you and run up to you, Especially if you have a guinea
For as long as I can remember I have always had a dog to play with, whether it was to feed unwanted food to, play outside all day with, or to turn to for comfort when I needed it. They are there as a support system and are also always happy to see you when you come home. This
Firstly, I believe dogs are the best because they are amazing companions. They can be service dogs for disabled or otherwise handicapped people. You can also play with them, which is very entertaining. Lots of dogs like to play catch, and some people even take their dogs with them during their daily run.
Jeremy Rifkin states that pigs crave affection and easily depressed, if isolated or denied playtime with each other. Being denied to have playtime hurts pigs, we could only imagine their pain when they are locked up for days in the dark with no type of company. The treatment they are being given is nothing like the treatment we would want to get from someone else. With that being said,
Health Benefits Many studies have shown that having pets can really help improve one’s health and well-being. According to study conducted by Dana Casciotti and Diana Zuckerman (2016) numerous health benefits can be obtain from having a pet, except from the companionship and affection a pet can give, they can also help lower blood pressure and regulate heart rate therefore helps improve one’s cardiovascular health. A pet is certainly a great friend. After a difficult day, pet owners quite literally feel the love.
Choosing a cat or a dog as a pet is depending on personal preference or purpose. Both animals can become a good companion in human’s life. In an essay titled “Why Cats Make Better Pets Than Dogs” Sean Curtis argues that cats are better pets than dogs because cats are low maintenance, quiet, and independent. He helps readers gain insights of a cat or a dog’s behaviors and habits, and bring awareness of their issues to a future cat or dog owner. This essay argues clearly with his points of view and successfully bring readers’ attention to dogs’ problems that a dog owner will meet and solve.
This is why I think factory farming should be banned for all the safety hazards and the animal abuse towards those pigs. If we replaced all those factory farms with family farms where the cattle or pigs can run around and play until they get butchered instead of sitting in pins all there life and getting trampled to death. They also have to live in there own feces, and the ventilation system isn’t the best. Where on a family farm the animals would be able to run around without getting trampled to death, or having to live in there own feces.
Younger kids love to play, and a dog can serve as a best friend to younger kids. A younger kid can play fetch with a dog for hours and have a great time, whereas a cat would not enjoy to play for long periods of time. Not only can a dog have
Right after Squealer defended the pigs sleeping in the farmhouse, the pigs were given another special benefit. “...it was announced that from now on the pigs would get up an hour later in the mornings than the other animals…”(Page 62). Why can’t the other animals wake up later? This announcement proves that the pigs were given more benefits than all the other animals. Another example of this discrimination is how all the pigs and dogs have comfortable beds and enough food to feed their large community.
Animal lovers all over the world can attest to how good it feels to interact with their pets. People of all ages, shapes, religions, and disabilities confirm to the stress relieving and mood boosting benefits of having a pet. According to The Human Animal Bond Research Initiative (HABRI) Foundation, there is substantial evidence backing the research that the feeling one encompasses when interacting with a pet can be established in a therapeutic method called animal therapy. This relationship seems to be deepening. Many owners consider their companion animals to be a family member and there are many other benefits of pet-ownership other than the obvious companionship. Pets help maintain the health and well-being of their owners.
Rights are against the use of force and they are our primary if not only our means of survival. There is only one fundamental right: To live successfully, a man has to make his own choices as well as animals too (Roleff,2014,p.33). There is a huge difference between giving animals their rights which is less than human beings and not to give them rights at all. Nowadays animals are presented in many places of entertainment such as zoos and cruces as well as aquariums where the audients pay a lot of cash to watch fun and exciting things going on, it sure makes us happy but what about the animals are they happy too? Are places of entertainment appropriate for wild animals to live in it normally?
In my community, there is a real big problem with the amount of stray dogs on the streets and city animal shelters are so full that there is little they can do to help. There isn’t much funding from the government for animal shelters in Puerto Rico, which makes it a little harder to clean up the streets. And not only is it dangerous to have a large amount of stray dogs in your area, but also could be harmful to the health of the people. The kill rate for the animal shelters in Puerto Rico are at 97%, which are ridiculously high but still does nothing to solve the issue. My goal is to help my community by providing the alternatives to solving the matter of the amount of stray dogs while also lowering the kill rate for those dogs that have not been properly treated or adopted.
Why do stray animals exists? Strays are not a random occurrence but a symptom of a bigger problem caused by the following: 1. Irresponsible pet ownership, 2. Pet owners not spaying/neutering their pets, 3.
