True, genuine courage is rare, especially in children. Many feign to have this aspect, but in reality only a select few exceed courage. From 1933 to 1945, Jews lived in fear, not one was safe. In the horrible time of the Holocaust, Jewish people of all ages and conditions were harassed and even executed.The courageous Frank family, consisting of a father, mother, and two young daughters, were tortured during this time period. One particular family member, the youngest daughter, has a legacy that still lives on today. Anne Frank was both a hero and a victim of the Holocaust because she was forced into hiding, her loved ones were killed, and her diaries positively impacted many.

When it comes to dealing with tough times such as going to internment camps or hiding from Nazi soldiers so that they aren’t taken to centration camps, there are three important questions that come into play; What motivates people to move through hard times and moments?, What can people do to help others going through tough problems?, and Who can people go to to help them through tough times or conflict? I think that people can best respond to conflict by staying strong through courageousness and always having people in their life to talk to.
In the year 1933, the tragedy known as the holocaust began with Adolf Hitler. This event killed over 6 million people, and impacted many more. One family that was greatly affected were the Franks. In 1945 the Franks went into hiding. Many things changed while they were in the annex.Throughout the years, the moods and relationships of the families in the annex were significantly changed by what happened in the outside world.

As a result of the Nazi’s discrimination, millions of people died during this time and were sent to concentration camps. Anne Frank was an influential part of the Holocaust because she educated people about what happened to people like her and her personal story about growing up during this period of time. She is influential even today, thanks to her diary and her legacy lives on today.
The Diary of Anne Frank takes place Amsterdam, Netherlands. In the book Anne and her family are Jews in World War II. Because of the oppression of the Jews, Anne and her family are forced to go into hiding. Anne, her mom Edith, her dad Otto, her sister Margot, Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, Peter Van Daan, and Mr. Dussel. In the beginning of the story, Anne is very emotional because she had to leave her friends and old life behind. Our class witnessed two different versions of the story, a play and a movie, but even though these are based off of the same book, they have several differences and similarities.

Within these wars, two little girls that have been apart of it their whole lives, have shared their experiences through a diary and a book of stories. The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young jewish girl named Anne Frank, who has to go into hiding with her family in order to not get caught and taken away by the Nazis in Amsterdam, and while in hiding, records her experiences and thoughts into her diary. Farewell to Manzanar is a book based on a girl named Jeanne Wakatsuki who is seven years old at the time, and gets taken away with her family to Manzanar encampments, as the U.S. government doesn’t want to risk any Japanese Americans possibly giving up information to the Japanese as they are at war with them. Anne Frank and Jeanne Wakatsuki have many similarities and differences throughout their lifetimes on the run from the war.

Prior to World War 2 Jewish people were the main family or culture that the Nazi’s been feeding off of and killing approximately 6,000 each day. Which led to 6.5 million Jews dead at the end of the war and a few survivors. Although one of these few survivors was Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, Diarist of one of the most famous diaries, “The Diary of Anne Frank.” World War 2 was a devastating event that changed how Jews lived because because they were said to be “Divergent.”
On 1937, Buchenwald concentration camp was established on the Ettersberg near Weimar, Germany. The camp was constructed in a wooden area on the Northern slopes. Women were not part of the camp system until year 1941. Most of the early inmates at the Buchenwald camp were political prisoners. The German SS and police sent about 10,000 Jews to Buchenwald where they were subjected to cruel treatment.
Are people aware of their own good nature, are others aware of their good nature? Anne Frank’s statement, that people are truly good at heart, is true.The current generation and the past generation has had its faults, it’s troubles and events. For instance, the Holocaust and the recent Florida school shooting. Yet, there is always good in the world, no matter the tyrant. People will sacrifice their own for others. They have the ability to change their mind from the worst, to the best. Deep down, everyone cares for something.

They are the ones who oppose Anne Frank and everyone that is hiding with Anne. Anne Frank is a Jewish girl who goes into hiding during World War Two to escape from the Nazis. This story is abut a girl that was writing her daily days while she was in the holocaust She was venting her fears and frustrations, and contemplating her everyday life. She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation.
