Suicide is defined as the act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally especially by a person of years of pleasure and of sound mind. The tragedy of a young person dying because of overwhelming hopelessness or frustration is shocking to family, friends, and community. Teen suicide happens in all countries regardless a big city or just in a rural area. It is not something that can be over looked. It is the third leading reason of death in today’s youth. Along with so many other things in the world today, it can be prevented by many ways and with the help of societies.

If we look at the situation globally today, suicide accounts for about 800,000 deaths annually. There were 53 youths between the ages of 15 and 24 years reported to have undergone completed suicides. The suicide rate among youths was 1.03 per 100,000 populations in 2009, accounting for the male gender (66.0%). The most common method of suicide was hanging (56.6%) followed by self-poisoning (15.1%). Many teens who attempt or die by suicide have a mental health condition. As a result of they have trouble handling with the stress of being a teen, such as dealing with rejection, failure, breakups and family chaos. They might also be unable to see that they can turn their lives around — and that suicide is a permanent response, not a solution, to a temporary problem. Next, depression is a main cause of suicide that can be present in the teenage years. This mental disorder can cause feelings of desperateness and worthlessness.
