On important topics such as religion, unless otherwise specified, interpretation can vary greatly. For the same religion we can always have the same story or the same tradition that can be viewed differently from different perspectives. Islam is one of the religions that raised a lot of concerns for both Muslims and Non-Muslims. Of the many schools of thought we have in Islam, two important schools are present which are The Deobandi school of Islam and The Hanafi school of Fiqh. Both schools tackle Islam from different sides. For the Deobandi school “ The best of speech is the book of Allah, the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. To have the ability to think, interpret things differently and decide on what each person conceives as Good or Evil. This does not mean neglecting the clear and obvious rules but means to think about any extra action that was not done before and can be perceived by this person as a good action that can please God. Each culture has its own identity, its own practices and its own concepts that Islam did not say they should be thrown away. Any act of rejecting the culture or a person or even part of it will be an exclusionary part that will easily be interpreted as a contradiction to the Universalist theory. As mentioned by Umar Faruq Abd-Allah in his article “The prophet Muhammad and his companions were not at war with the world’s cultures and ethnicities but entertained ban honest, accommodating, and generally positive view of the broad social endowments of other peoples and places.” This way of thinking can be looked upon by the Deobandis as wrong because they might look at any cultural action done by different people from a different culture are Bid’ha which is not necessarily the
