The Dexfield shootout was one of the most notorious shootouts the Barrow gang was in. They were Laying low in Dexter for a couple of days after their previous shootout in Missouri. The Barrow gang had not been there long before they were spotted and reported to the police. Authorities were not taking any chances. They showed up early one morning heavily armed, and ready for a fight. This shootout was so significant because of how many members of the gang got shot, the actions taken by Clyde to escape from the Police, and how many of the members got caught by the authorities.
Clyde Parker and the Barrow gang had been staking out in the small town of Dexter to hide out, rest, and recuperate from a big shoot-out with police in Platte City.

Henry discovered the camp when the Barrow gang was not there. He found a bloody map, bloody shirt, and used bandages. Since this campsite was on his land, he reported it to Sheriff John Love. Love soon after that contacted Dallas County Sheriff Clint Knee who informed him there have been reports of the Barrow gang in the area (Stray). Love quickly formed a posse of about 50 men. The posse was told to be heavily armed are were armed with many heavy machine guns. At 5:00am the next morning the posse moved in on the Barrow gang and opened fire on them. The gang fired back at them causing them to retreat allowing them to start their escape from the posse. All the members of the gang piled into one car that was being shot at (Stray). They tried to drive away but got caught up on a stump and had to abandon the car. Clyde head towards the Vallie Feller farmstead leaving Bonnie and W.D. ( a member of the gang). As Clyde approach Feller’s family and hired hand he threatened them to help him escape while pointing a pistol at them. Not testing Clyde, the Family helped him and W.D. who was coming up the hill carrying Bonnie. They Feller family gave them their car to get away in. Clyde drove to Polk City where he wrecked the car and had to steal another car and went to Guthrie Center. There they were spotted and surrounded by a posse of 200 men. Somehow, with Clyde's exceptional driving skills they were able to escape from the posse were they were last seen in Sioux City (Stray).
Everyone except for one gang member, Blanche. Buck and Blanche were caught by the Dexter posse. Buck was severely wounded and was taken to the King’s Daughter Hospital in perry where he soon died a few years later (Stray). Blanche was taken back to Missouri and tried for her part in the Platte shootout and was sentenced ten

Black Kettle rose an American flag in hopes to make peace. Unfortunately, the Colorado Volunteers commander, Colonel John Chivington ignored the flag. He insisted the group “kill and scalp all, big and little.” The brutality was tremendous, as the Chivingtons troops committed a large number of scalping, and disembowelments.
No police were able to stop The Wild Bunch. So the Union Pacific Railroad hired Pinkerton National Detective Agency to find the gang and have them arrested. The Wild Bunch now knew that this was the end of the line. The Wild Bunch now split up, but Butch and Harry’s friendship never ended. They both moved out of North America into South America with Harry’s new girlfriend.
Sheriff C.G. Maxwell and his deputy Eugene C. Moore, decided to investigate the activities of the out of towners. As soon as they approached the car, they were fired upon. and Sheriff Deputy Eugene C. Moore died instantly with a gunshot wound to the head, Maxwell, although critically wounded, lived. Some of the youths picked up the officers weapons and fired upon the fleeing bandits. Bonnie, Clyde and Hamilton escaped unharmed.
After being released from prison in 1933 he went to join his brother Clyde. Buck died on July 29, 1933, from gunshot
While Clyde was trying to create a jailbreak at Eastham, a prison guard was killed and his friend escaped. Methvin, who joined the gang, which included a former Texas Ranger.
Mendoza comes to torture and interrogate the five of them. Palmer kills the two guards and threatens Mendoza with the gun from the guard. Palmer and Will dress in the guards’ uniforms and act as if Jim is their prisoner making Mendoza corporate with the plan to escape. They save the girls and almost make it to the trucks before being found out. They escape the prison and hide in the catacombs of a church.
After three weeks of easy travel the Donner group ended up in Independence, Missouri. After a good nights sleep and a resupply they headed out the date was May 12, 1846 to the west where there was a thunderstorm. About a week later the party came up upon a large wagon train controlled by colonel William H. Russell. They were camped by Indian creek about 100 miles west from Independence, Missouri. By the 25 the trail of wagons had been at a standstill and this is where the first death took place.

From here the whereabouts of the Benders differ. Some reports state that the benders fled through tribal lands where prosecuting them was next to impossible (Farley.) Other accounts state that Kate and John Jr seeked shelter in an outlaw colony near New Mexico; meanwhile John Sr and Elvira were spotted in St Louis, Missouri.(Cappello.) Some say they were spotted in Texas carrying large rifles (Farley.)
It was two-thousand three when the test was established. An evolution of the patriot act, the test was created to keep people safe in the face of terrorists and murderers, communists and anarchists. The rules were simple, citizens would obey their government for three hundred sixty four twenty-four hour periods, and surveillance cameras with microphones were installed in homes and cars to monitor people for the first part of the test. Then on the three hundred sixty fifth day it was required pass the test- a four hour examination that was designed to identify those who would hard their countrymen- and most importantly, their government. If a person failed the examination, in either part, they were either imprisoned, or more commonly, terminated.
They were responsible for more than 20 robberies, and murders of many individuals who stood in their way. They were even estimated to have stole around $200,000. One robbery Jesse was apart of was the Gallatin, Missouri bank robbery. Jesse went inside to change a $100 bill, but quickly shot the dealer in the heart. Jesse thought this dealer was the reason one of his close gang members died.
As Wyatt brought his friend Ike did the same thing bring along Billy Clanton (his brother), Frank McLaury and his brother Tom McLaury. In a matter of seconds there were bullets flying everywhere, killing Billy Clanton, and both the McLaury brothers. Holliday, Morgan, Virgil were injured and Wyatt was the only one scathed. But after Ike order hits on Morgan and Virgil, shooting Virgil in the arm (Survived) and assassinating Morgan Earp. After this happened, Wyatt went to get vengeance on Ike and he was joined by Doc Holliday and a small posse roaming on the frontier on a killing
Buck is being called into the wild. His life events changed who he was and sent him free in spirit and body. Once Thornton was kill Buck was able to be free and just be a wild dog with the others (napierkowski). In my opinion, this book shouldn’t have been in the category of banned and challenged books.
Bonnie and Clyde met January, 1930, in Texas. At this time, Bonnie Parker was 19 years old, and Clyde Barrow was 21. There is multiple stories of Bonnie and Clyde 's first meeting, but the most credible tells that Bonnie Parker met Clyde Barrow at the home of Clyde 's friend Clarence Clay in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of West Dallas. Clyde dropped by the house while Bonnie was cooking hot chocolate in the kitchen. Soon after they met, he was arrested for burglary and was sent to jail.
