Anne Frank’s diary is one of the most informative historic pieces that was left from WWII. It explains how living was in the annex for the Franks, the Van Daans, and Dussel. In addition, it describes what life was like for them living in fear of being discovered while hiding from the police. The Diary of Anne Frank helps us remember what happened in the past and at that time. It helps us understand what it feels like to be hiding for so long in fear. Remembering this diary today and continuing to remember it with acts, such as the play, keeps us knowledgeable about what happened during WWII, Adolf Hitler’s power, and the fear that was evoked in many people.

Existing during the Holocaust was terrifying because millions of innocent people were being targeted just for their religion and beliefs. They had fear of being arrested, deported, put in camps, or killed at any moment. Basic human rights were taken away from Jews.
