People’s behavior including teenagers the most spend a lot of time on social media and this can change their behavior due to the things that they see. Furthermore, in the article “Parents Should Take Action Against Excessive Homework”, Nancy Kalish continues writing about the inadequate amount of physical activity had by students and states that too much homework causes kids to miss out on playtime which is necessary for preventing childhood obesity (Kalish n.pg.). In America, 18.4 percent of children ages 6-19 years old are obese. This issue is often due to the fact that those students have no time for any exercise. If homework did not hold back students each night, they would have extra time to use by exercising and staying healthy. Homework is greatly affecting the physical health of students of all
Lastly the parents have no control over their kids. For example the text says “You know how difficult Peter is about that (shutting the nursery) when I punished him a month ago by locking it for even a few hours the tantrum he threw!” This shows that the parents have no limits for their kids and their kids barely get punnished. Another example is from the text “Kids and Tech” “ Their brains (kids brains) get used too much… stimulation and in absence of these… they get anxious, restless, bored, and aggressive. In relation to this in the text The Veldt it says when the parents turn off the nursery the kids get aggressive and worry. This means that the parents can 't say no to things their kids want because their kids will throw tantrums because they are not punished well.

Louv uses rhetorical questions to persuade people to change their view on television watching. On lines 43-47, it says “Why do so many Americans say they want their children to watch less TV, yet continue to expand the opportunities for them to watch it? More important, why do so many people no longer consider the physical world worth watching?” This quote is greatly important due to the fact that parents would prefer their children to not watch so much TV or video games, but they let them do it anyway which is unfortunate. When kids watch too much television or play hours of video games, they rely on that to survive the day and

("The M2 Generation: Are Your Kids Too Dependent on the Media?"). Therefore, kids won’t grasp what they need to grasp about the subject matter, which leads to lower grades. Throughout the story, David’s conflict of the Tomkeys not having a television generates a discomfort towards them and he thinks of them as wicked. Even though David’s family does not believe in television, they “watched the news, and whatever came on after the news” (850). No matter how much David’s parents did not agree on watching television, they still sat down and watched their shows as a family; it was the only activity that they knew how to do. On the other hand, the Tomkey family did not own a television; they sat at the dinner table, laughed and went on family vacation every weekend to the lake house. David tried to ignore the Tomkey children, but “it was impossible to separate him from his celebrity” (851) making David envious.
This was all started when more and more books were being banned. As books left, media came. Aside from that, people called the people in their TV screens their family and relatives. Everyone gets too distracted from life because of media that they are sucked into thinking that the moving people in their screens are their family.
