Bahrain has known for many years for its fortune because it's located in the center of Arabian Gulf, which gave it a world-class strategic location. It has a wide and diversified historical and cultural legacy. Since the 19th century, it has been famed for its pearls, which is considered the best in the world. As well as, Bahrain had the first post-oil economy in the Persian Gulf. Tourists come from all around the world to visit this amazing place, Manama is the capital of Bahrain; it was nominated of Arab culture in 2012, the capital of Arab Tourism in 2013 and the capital of Asian Tourism in 2014 (mia.gov.bh, 2014). One of the government's major successes was the inclusion of Bahrain on the International Grand Prix circuit the home of motorsport. The Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix of 2004 was the first of its kind in the Middle East, and it succeeded in its stated aim of bringing international attention to the kingdom (fanack, 2012). Added to that, the National Theatre of Bahrain, a one of a kind 3rd largest theatre in the Arab world and can seat 1001 people, also having lots of cinemas and cultural houses. Challenge of modernization and globalization in the UAE society Introduction The UAE is renowned for its rich cultural heritage heavily manipulated by Arab and Islamic traditions.
