Puerto Rico Short Stories Summary

The English language had an enormous impact in Puerto Rico and it will be shown throughout a series of short stories by a man named Abelardo Diaz Alfaro. Abelardo was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, July 24, 1919, and died in San Juan, July 22, 1999. Once, he moved to Ponce due to, his father’s occupation, he studied art in high school with Miguel Pou. Not long after graduating high school, he studied and graduated the Polytechnic Institute in San German with a bachelor’s degree in art. Later on, he obtained a master’s in social work in the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras.
